Sounds like the regulator is sticking or is airbound. loosen the water connection and then tighten it back. Could also be that the trigger gun is faulty or needs adjustment. Hope this helped

Why does my Simpson pressure washer mega shot V3100 continue to build pressure when I release the gun and stays on high speed

There is a thermal pressure relief valve on the pump that opens when the pump starts to heat up.

Why is there no water flow through on pressure washer?

Sounds like a pump failure. Does yours freeze in winter? Need to winterize like cabin plumbing.
Repair/replacement of pump could be close to new unit.

Why is water continuously coming out of the thermal relief even when the water is cold?

if your pressure is satisfactory then you will need to replace the thermal relief you can plug the port as long as the pump is unloading fine when trigger is released an get a replacement asap thermal relief valve will open when the gun is released for a long duration of time over three minutes.detergent valve inside the barb you may have to assist the ball bearing inside it might be stuck to the o-ring and the siphon it produces is not sufficient enough to cause separation.you can insert a nail small enough and slowly insert it inside the port til you feel it separate.

I get hose pressure from my Brute 2600 psi, 6.75hp power washer when the engine is not running, but when I start the engine, I get no additional motor pressure.

The pressure you have when the motor is not running is supply pressure through the unit. When you start the motor it will build up pressure then shut the pump action down until you pull the trigger of the gun. When you release the trigger the pressure drops to zero . This happens through a relief valve that the pressure hose is connected to. If what I stated is not happening then there is a problem with insufficient water supply to the machine or a problem in the relief valve.

HI it sounds like you may just have a blocked jet on the end of your lance. Please remove and clean.

Lost pressure

try this
dissconect hose and lance , and check for water flow through the machine , if theres none or just a trickle then you may have gunk in your inlet filter ( usually a small plastic gauze insert just where the water feed hose connects )
then start machine , check for high pressure flow ( you will see the difference )
its quite common for the nozzle on the lance to become blocked
if all this seems fine but the lance is vibrating then you have a blockage in one or more of your pump valves .

Hydronic Boiler relief valve problem?

Check the pressure guage. Typically the pressure in a water boiler should not be more than 20 psi. If you are approaching 30, the relief valve is doing it's job. I would replace or adjust the automatic water feed if the pressure is high. Always replace the boiler relief valve. Tap on the expansion tank, it should sound hollow. Replace it if it is full of water. If you have one of the old expansion tank that has no bladder in it, drain it.
