Watch The Unit's Ignition Process See If The Unit Is Getting Fire Most Likely It Needs A New Thermostat. The Thermostat If Bad Will Cause The Unit To Turn On Ignite But Will Not Detect The Heat From The Flame And Then Shut Off The Gas To Protect The Home From Carbon Dioxide.
If The Unit Fails To Light At All Check The Igniter.
I Hope This Helps,
Sincerely,
Michael Scott

Bkinking light 7 times means "Lockout Caused By No Ignition". And if this fault is false then it will reset itself automatically after one hour, when the heater is turned off.

Please check for Defective Solenoids. They are on top or inside the body of the gas valve body. Solenoids also supply voltage to a glow coil {if applicable}gas to the pilot flame {if applicable} main burner gas and or other parts and componets of the entire electrical loop.

Also, check theFlame Sensor. It is located on the burner or near the pilot assembly. If it's defective, it will cause the glow coil to not function. You can test this part with a continuity tester/multimeter.

Try cleaning the flame sensor element and check the range.

    Please ask for any clarifications.

    Thanks

    Rylee

Keep in mind all furnaces and circuit boards are not the same. Look on the back of the door to the blower compartment. You should find the list of diagnostic codes. Look up four blinks it should narrow down the problem. Although from the discription you gave it sounds lie the high limit control. When a high limit appears to be acting up it DOES NOT mean that the high limit needs replaced. The high limit just may be doing its job. This means that the furnace is overheating. Check your filters. Are all of your registers open? Is your blower set on the right speed? Is your blower going bad? Is the blower motor capacitor bad? Is your evaporator coil restricted? Just changing a high limit switch does not always solve the original problem!
Good luck....

Furnace runs OK, but blower runs again a few seconds later

Could be a defective thermostat in the plenum.
When a gas furnace shuts down the fan(blower) will run until the plenum cools to the safe range. Usually 1 and 1/2 minutes.
Intermittent operation is a defective thermostat or relay.

Limit Switch

It is rare that a limit switch goes bad. It is a safety control. If it is shutting off your furnace there is a problem that it is protecting you from.
If the limit switch is shutting the unit down your furnace is overheating. Check the filters. Check for any obstruction in the blower assembly. Check to see if you can raise the blower speed. Make sure all registers are open in the house. Your evaporator coil could be obstructed if you do not take good care of your filters.

Furnace blower not working how it should

first off buy yourself a honeywell stat, in my personal opinion lux stats are garbage, I have run into so many that are bad stats !!! but as far as your fan not shuting down, sounds to me like your fan center on your circuit board is bad and will not shut down the fan when needed, you will have to replace the circuit board, as the fan center is a part of the whole of the circuit board, hope that helps
