Ou should turn the dial to spin with lid closed for a full minuite, or blow on the tube at the water level switch. If problem persist replace water valve, if machine is agitating w/o water replace water level switch.

My samsung sw80usp does not stop filling with water, no matter where i set the water level

Hi.

Make sure that at start the machine is filling, and that the noise you hear is not because of a broken inlet or because drain pump started at the beginning of the cycle after detecting water in the tub.

If the water does not stop filling and ends up with overfilling, then the pressure switch is usually responsible. Before going for pressure switch have a look at the inlet valve. Make sure that it is not stuck open. The pressure switch is accessed from top of the machine. It looks like a round shaped part with contacts at one side and a long thin rubber hose connected. The hose goes inside the tub. Clean pressure hose first. If that does not work replace the switch. If switch replacement does not work and inlet valve is OK, then control module is defective.

Regards.

When u start it it just make a buzzing noise but doesnt fill with water

Hi, if there's no water at all, make these checks:
Is there water getting to the machine?
Is the water-volume selector switch set properly and are the control panel buttons pressed in all the way?
If you have a Maytag® washer, is the fuse (if there is one) in the control panel at the lid-switch bracket blown?
Is there a faint buzzing or humming noise coming from the water-inlet valve? (The water-inlet valve is the device on the washing machine that the fill hoses are attached to.) If you can't hear anything, the water-inlet valve may not be getting any power. If you can hear some noise and there's water present, you may need to completely replace the water-inlet valve.

It keeps stopping flashing LF,I don't have the manual, what does LF mean?

Hello there:
LF Long Fill If the water fill time exceeds ten minutes, the water valves are turned off and LF is flashed.

Press STOP/CANCEL to clear the display. furthermore please check the following that may apply
It's slow to fill Check to see if there's good water volume coming through the hoses attached to the washing machine. If there is, check to see if the screens inside the water-inlet valve are clean. (The water-inlet valve is the device on the washing machine that the fill hoses are attached to.) If they're clean, you probably have a defective water-inlet valve. If so, you should completely replace the valve. There's no water at all If there's no water at all, make these checks: Is there water getting to the machine? Washer and dryer unit. the water will not pump

hello. the lack of water may be due to the machine itself or it may be that no water is getting to the machine. Begin by disconnecting the water lines from the machine [after turning off the water] and then put the lines into a pail and carefully turn the water on. if you have plenty of water going into the bucket put the hoses back onto the machine and read on:
Is the water-volume selector switch set properly and are the control panel buttons pressed in all the way?

Maytag FAV6800AWW - Major overflow right after starting machine

Hi, If you turn the water source valve on and water starts filling the machine even tho the machine is off, change the inlet valve.
If you have to start the machine so water will fill but, the water does not shut off at the desired level, there is a problem with the water level switch.
I hope this helps you. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

GE washing machine does not run, gives humming noise

A washing machine is a simple product.

When trouble shooting anything you have to know what is supposed to do and what is it not doing.

At the begining of a washing machine cycle the machine fills with water until a switch is made telling the machine it is full and ready to agitate. Since it never fills it will stick in that part of the cycle.

When you start a cycle and no water enters the drum you have one of three problems:

    1. The water supply is shut off.
    2. The solenoid valve that supplies the water is not opening.
    3. No power to the washing machine.

Since you are hearing a hum, the machine seems to be trying to activate that valve,
The humming noise comes from the electromagnetic field that activates the valve,
