Lg Front loading washing machine

LG WD-8013F Not drainging water, I have taken off the front cover and emptied the filter, there where a few coins, but nothing else, the water was a dark colour. I then ran the 'pump' cycle again to see if this made any difference, but none. There is no burning smell or anything like that when it attempts to pump, and there is a little 'spinning wheel' inside that is still spinning around when its attempting to drain.... PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Lg Front loading washing machine

Most times on the Lg washer the lint trap is clogged and something may be hitting the impeller on the pump and causing it not to drain. remove the plastic cover on the lower left bottom and unscrew the black lint filter at the pump. you will get water on the floor there is no way to avoid that. clean the trap and make sure there is nothing inside the housing to block the pump impeller. replace the trap and run a rince cycle to check for proper draining.

I had the same problem and found a button jammed in the outlet hose where it attaches to the drain under the adjacent sink.

Re: Lg Front loading washing machine

The drain line is probably clogged. Maybe that a sock or other piece of clothing get between the clothes tub and the outer tub that holds the water. If the clothing gets between the tubs, it may then get into the drain hose that's attached to the pump. To remove it from the outer tub port, open the washer's main access panel and remove the large-diameter rubber hose that connects the pump to the bottom of the outer tub and try to remove the clothing through the port. Good luck!

I have LG Washing Machine and the water does not drain whilst the machine is washing. What can be wrong?

problem is with main board MOSFET ,FET or Transistor , that are not switching your drain pump at right time , if your'e pump is fine, , you should check drain pump separately by giving it separate supply. ( see its data sheet for power )

The water pump can be blocked and thus stop the machine from finishing the wash cycle. In front on the bottom there is as hatch that can be opened with a flat screwdriver, the small black rubber pipe can be used to first drain all the water before the opening the filter. Small objects such as coins coluld be found in here, blocking the pump. Clean the pump by removing these, optionally blowing into the outlet (yuck!), to dislodge anything. If that does not help to fix the problem, you can clean that actual water pump, but this requires you to use a screwdriver to remove the pump.

Tilt the machine on its side, the pump is attached with 3 self-tapping screws. (if you can't figure out what the pump is you should probably let a technician do this). The pump has 2 parts to it, take it apart carefully and clean out all the dirt that has accumulated in there. Plastic friendly, waterproof grease can be applied to the pump spindle and bearing if available.

If the problem still persists a new pump is available from LG at a reasonable cost.

My lg front load washing machine is reading oe

oe is drain error, which means that the machine is slow/or not emptying..Most likely you have to clean the pump filter...This is accessed via the small door at floor level..Unscrew the pump cover andclean the filter...Remember that any water will drain from the machine from here, unless the machine is empty...Leaning the machine back can help...Good luck...Nomess

Water pump failure?

The water pump drain motor has something stuck in it or it has gone bad like most LG parts.
Remove the drain pump and look for any foreign object to be removed.
Check the drain pump for a failed pump motor.
LG is pretty.

Washing machine keeps stopping mid cycle

If you found coins and such in the drain filter then there is a possiblility that the impeller in the drain pump motor was damaged and you are not getting good water flow thru it. The machine will error out and stop mid cycle if it detects it has not drained in a set amount of time. OE indicated a drain error. I suspect you need to have the drain pump motor assembly replaced.

LG WD-8013F wont spin

Hi deppgirl,
I checked the lint filter at the front bottom left hand side and it was full of junk.  Once emptied it worked a treat.  Pull the flap down and turn the large knob anti-clockwise and pull to remove.  Good luck.
