Incline is at maximum, but display reads 0

Could be a couple of areas. I would check the upper panel, try pushing the up and down buttons see if you notice a difference between the two. He might up pushed the up buttom so hard to damage it and lock it on the up. you would need an upper console overlay. Another possible problem is the control cable from below was pinched and telling the unit to go up. No way to tell which issue without the proper test equipment
