Question about HP VP6220 Multimedia Projector
I have fitted a new bulb and followed the instructions to reset the bulb counter by pressing and holding the 'up' button for over 5 secs but I do NOT get a counter display.
We have a number of these at the school I provide support at and just recently I've had to replace the lamps in six of these.
I've found the method HP details a bit hit and miss, i.e. you might have to try doing a few times before you get the message. First power off the projector and then remove all inputs to it, it won't work if you have anything still plugged in other than the power. Re-apply the power and then press and hold the up button. You should now get a message on the screen 'reset lamp hours for new lamp - press [auto sync] to reset', press the auto sync button as soon as you see this message as it soon goes off.
You can then check via the menu to make sure the lamp hours has been reset to zero.
