Yamaha cp33 has no volume when key is pressed

One key? or all keys?

if one key- the switch contacts for that one key are where to look for dirt, corrosion or broken wires.

If one octave- check wires and connections on the borad that set of wires lead to, and look for bad solder joints or bulging capacitors, or evidence of a spilled beverage.

If all keys, Check to make sure the mute button is not pressed. and volume level is up, and see if headphones will work with it. If you are using headphones- try a different pair first, you may have a broken wire in the headphones Then check the wiring inside, especially the wire for common buss connection. Also check the amplifier for funtionality. This is simply done by pressing a screwdriver in contact with the amplifier input, you should hear a buzz out of the speakers of the keyboard or through the headphones. The amplifier borad is the one with wires to the headphone jack and speakers.

Holding the page up and down buttons while powering on supposedly resets it. I have no sound except demos, but no lights showing like yours, and williams tech support said to reset that way but it didn't seem to do anything. Good luck hope this helps!

Volume on the piano is less than half the volume it should be. Demo and play along songs play at full volume but keyboard wont no matter how hard the key is pressed, Is there a fix for this...

Pianos do NOT respond to keys pressed hard... they respond to FAST presses. If you have an issue with the piano, first go on record to activate your warranty. Most of these electronics DO have a setting that adjusts the "feel" which affects the loudness versus key velocity... Now here is a secret??? Shh... The manufacturers turn up the demos just like the advertisers turn up the commercials on the TV... I would suggest looking for the adjustment of feel, and if that doesn't get satisfactory results, find another and compare yours to another... if yours is still underperforming, exercise your warranty for repair or replacement.

My Williams Allegro 88 keyboard sustain pedal is doing the opposite of sustaining. I lost the manual so I also don't know how to reset it and if this will fix the problem.

Assuming this has worked in the past (otherwise if you have changed to different pedal that is the problem) the usual thing is the machine samples the state of the pedal at power up and assumes the polarity of the pedal is at rest. Make sure you are not pressing it as you power up. Also verify the pedal is COMPLETELY plugged in... sometimes they are not quite fully in and that causes a problem, especially with the two stage versions that are sometimes used.

Here is a link:http://www.williamspianos.com/products/encore.cfm If you don't have one, download the manual. If it still doesn't play correctly with the pedal connected according to the manual you will have to contact them to see about servicing. The information is also at that link.

The input for the ac adapter is loose and cuts outt all the time.

Connector is probably damaged. If you can open the unit you can get replacement connector from DigiKey.com and Mouser.com. You need to compare dimensions of the barrel AND the pin to insure you get the correct part. Also the pins that go through the board. One could go through Williams, but they may not have a parts dept.
