Question about Toshiba TEC B-572 Printer

Not Printing correctly

I recently had to rebuild my computer and am now attempting to reload the print drivers. The printer seems to be communicating fairly well with the PC. The problem now, everytime I send a job to the printer it gets this message across the printer screen, SG; 0033,2357,0888,03. Depending on the size of the job it will print but the top spool that will hold the spent Ribbon will turn correctly causing the job to look blotched. It almost appears to me that the printer is not hot enough. Please Help!

This may me due to various factors.
- The parallel port is only unidirectionnal. You should use ATcompatible for this port instead of ECP on the computer.
- The driver sends data in topix compression not understood by your printer.
- there is problem on your parallel port

    this is due to syntax error.
    - port configuration not correct.
    - graphics data not correct for the firmware version.

Hello probsy,
I know what your problem is. But it's a matter of me properly conveying the information. Bottom line is that you you either have a corrupt print driver or the wrong print driver. A print driver is the program that is loaded on your computer (or your server if you have one) that enables your computer to communicate with/and submit data TO the printer. If the "driver" is corrupt or wrong, then the printer "MAY" still understand that it needs to print something.......but then you get the **** you are talking about. I have seen printers absolutley run the paper out of every tray printing squiggles and numbers and then ask for more paper !! So for example you have a Ricoh printer but you are using the print driver for a Xerox printer. The printer MAY recognize the command to "PRINT", but what it prints will be.....who knows? At this point I have answered your question. I would go further but you will need to remove the printer from your pc and reload and install the CORRECT/CLEAN driver. I am sorry I can't be your IT person. If I gave you further instructions I may do more harm than good. Show this post to anyone you trust with your computer and they will get it, and can be there "near you and live" and you will be fine. Take care. :-) SPINAL

How do i speed up a 2844 printer. It was printing fine until we had to change computers. After the computer change it prints slower. We have reloaded the driver etc to no avail.


The print speed is controlled from the printer driver usually. Even though you have reloaded it, the default speed is probably lower now that what was set on the other computer. You didn't mention if you made any changes to the driver after reloading so check the speed setting.

If by slower, you mean there is more time between when you hit print and when the label actually prints, then that is more related to communications.

Prints only parts of document as well as only parts of web pages now i have wrong cartridge flashing


Check cable. Sounds obvious but bad connections are a problem.

Check Cartridge, rebuild?

Is the print stopping or is it fading away?
Fading away a cartridge issue.

Stop printing at the same point. This may be a corrupt driver issue, reload driver. Remember to remove the printer first then reload.

Lexmark 1270 scans but will not print


With the Lexmark printers communication subsystem you MUST let the driver ask for you to plug in the printer. DO NOT plug the printer into the USB port until told to do so.

To fix a fouled install :
(1) Uninstall the Lexmark drivers in Add Remove Programs
(2) Shutdown the computer
(3) Disconnect the printer from the USB port
(4) Restart the computer
(5) Run the Driver Installation software
(6) Cancel ALL attempts by windows to auto install the printer
(7) When the sofware asks for the printer connect it and continue

Odd behavior when printing

An interesting issue. I think the driver may be causing the printer to 'misread' print jobs. I think installing the most current version of your printer's driver should resolve the issue; Rather than use the driver CD, however, use Lexmark's Driver Finder to locate your printer and download the most recent driver:

Dell printer won't communicate with computer


REINSTALL THE PRINTER DRIVER FROM DISC THAT CAME WITH YOUR PRINTER.

IF YOU DONT HAVE DISK SEARCH THE WEB FOR PRINTER DRIVER FOR DELL 924 PRINTER (your need to know what operating system you have win 98,xp ETC.. )DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL THE DRIVER YOU NEED AND INSTALL HAPPY PRINTING
