If you value your watch, don't attempt a battery change yourself. Take it to a reputable store where they know what they are doing. A good Longines watch is worth looking after.....

How do i change date on longines oposition l3.618.4.52.6

Changing the date on the Oposition is done by pulling out the crown to the first stop (pulling out to the second stop sets the time). Turn the crown clock-wise/counter-clockwise to change the date.

Dear Sirs! My new (1month) Longines automatic watch hastens each day (and night) four seconds.Model L4.721.2 Is it normal or I have to turn to the laboratoty to fix the problem?! Thanks a lot Iosif

An automatic watch that gains 4 seconds in a day is good.A new Rolex is rated at 5 seconds per day so 4 seconds is well within what you can expect for your watch. As a tip when the watch is off the wrist place on its side, gravity slows the operation of the watch just a fraction. This is called positional error and may help.

Battery is dead, needs to be replaced.

Take your watch to your nearest watch shop and ask them to do it for you.

You can get into difficulty replacing batteries and it is not worth the risk for the small cost saving.

Longines watch problem

Some longines watch has built-in battery gauge. When battery is low, the second hand jumps every four seconds. If you have new battery installed and the problem persists then there is a short circuit somewhere that drinks a lot of battery juice.
