You must remove the AAA batteries. It will then reset to 12 hr upon reinstall of the batteries. I tried everything to get the 24 hr to12 hr using the time set buttons but nothing worked.

Why can'tm I play DVD+R DL/2,2x 8 Hr discs on my SharpDV-RW 250x Recorder

Does your player support the disk type you have???
Minus disks are different to Plus disks in respect to the machines they will work in and the formats you put them on to the disk my only be read by the machine the writes them

Looks like your disk type could be a mismatch,

Check them and let me know thanks

HDD ERROR

sounds like a hard drive problem and only the manufactuer mostly handle these repairs as its not worth for the repair centers to buy all the parts and stuff like expensive equipment as they have so many types of these units. Please contact the factory at 1-800-237-4277, 1-800-BE SHARP Good Luck
