Question about Maytag Refrigerators
When you press the glass against the lever it clicks but it doesn't make any other sound anymore....same when you choose ice. No humming nothing...Do I have to order a new voltage board or is it something else? All the lights still work fine on the Overlay...
The valve may still work electrically but not opening mechanically. The part is=> 67006322 Water Inlet Valve
This is going to be tricky finding the valve but should be behind the wall inside the back of the fresh food compartment. Item location number 20 in this photo HERE Another source=> 67006322 Water Inlet Valve
I am here if you have any questions, Thanks Sea Breeze

SOURCE: Water dispenser is not working
I fixed mine by leaving the light on the dispenser on. It took about 6 hrs, but the little heat from the light bulb was enough to defrost the water line.

I would check hte wire harness leadngto the door under hte freezer hinge. itll be wrapped in a black web like covering. Just under hte unit itself follow ht ewire and unplug hte harness. then carfully cut hte black webbing and inspect wires. there tends ot be apinch point there and the wires will sheer from one another, . if so there is no replcing hte harness, the door would have to be replaced at a cost of nealry $600. not enough room for a wire nut, but hav had sucess using stright inline bullet style connector, or others have sucessfully soldered connections back in place

INSIDE THE DISPENSER ASSEMBLY IS A SEPARATE ELECTRONIC BOARD THAT CONTROLS THE DISPENSER.
OCCASIONALLY, THE DOOR SOLENOID OR THE CUBE ICE SOLENOID WILL SHORT OUT CAUSING A BURNOUT OF THE DISPENSER CONTROL BOARD. CHECK FOR A BURNT SMELL COMING FROM THE DISPENSER HOUSING. IF YOU SMELL IT, THE BOARD AND/OR SOLENOID NEED TO BE REPLACED.

i had same exact problem, i search over and over for solution. I even change the auger moter.
here is the solution for this particular problem.....
with the fridge door closed, remove bottom catch tray under ice dispenser revealing two screws, take off screws and slide front trim up to remove, you will have to unplug switch on trim to fully remove, look in top right corner there is black switch the will most likely be loose, this switch is your problem, mine was basically dislodged and the ice dispenser lever was not making contact, i simply zipped tied and siliconed the switch back to its respective place. if yours is making a good connection then the switch its self must be bad, you can test the switch by using the switch from water dispenser side...
i hope this helps
