I found this posted in the car section, but I will post an answer anyway.
You have a short in the house wiring. Could be in the switches, or the light fixtures, or the wiring going back to the breaker.
Yes it could be a fire hazard if not repaired.
If you can't get it fixed before you leave town, I would turn the breakers off for that section of the house.

they are known for bad head gaskets and intake gaskets, have it diagnosed at the shop and don't drive it or you can do serious damage to the engine.

There is a shorted wire somewhere in that circuit. Check to see if any wires are pinched under a bracket or brace where he was working. I have seen it where it was a light bulb the was bad. Need someone familiar with a volt/ohm meter to help trace problem. Good Luck. You did not state where he had been working.

You need to get the eingne codes read first . It sounds like you may have some kind of electrical issue with the daytime running lights . However it may or may not be related to that . The first thing you need to do is get the codes read . Most auto parts stores will do this for free if you don't have a code reader . Find out why the engine light is on it likely solve the problem by replaceing a sensor or simple electrical part . Don't geuss at this find out and you will save a lot of money most problems are related you find the right thing and all of the problems go away . But you need the engine codes first

Check the wires for short circuiting at the car body or speaker wires. Triple check really everything.
Make sure the connectors are 100% connected to the wires. There maybe some resitance if the amp isn't getting enough power from the battery.

How do I start the playskool sit and spin

First you have to sit down criss cross on the sit n spin, then you have to grab the center piece and pull on it,it should spin right away, if there are any lights or music they should begin to play. If they don't they should light up after you put batteries in it.

My 1998 chevy lumina won't start right away and

The cooling system shouldn't be losing much coolant.

If you're putting in coolant regularly
If you're seeing slick oil in the coolant
If you're hearing noise in the engine while driving

You may have a crack in your engine block and your engine isn't being lubricated properly anymore. This will cause noise and leaks, make a motor run really rough and cause rough starting.

I suggest you bring your vehicle in for a coolant system pressure test and a chassis leak check. This should be a free service from any auto shop that wants your money for repairs.

Spark plugs usually degrade your performance slowly and don't make noise while doing it unless in extreme cases.

Good luck!

The engine seems to have oil, but the light is on in my 1995 nissan altima

The oil light means you have low oil pressure but not necessarily low oil.
Low oil pressure can lead to serious engine problems and should be fixed right away.
