Ps3 want stay on
You havent provided many details.
Try to switch the playstation 3 OFF, by unplugging the power lead. Then replug in the lead after appox. 10 minutes and then push and hold the standby/on button until it beeps once at first and then again.
This should restore the device to its factory settings.
You need a screwdriver, a heat gun, arctic silver compound, lots of patience.
Dismantle your ps3 down to the motherboard. Clean off the compound on
the Graphics chips with isopropyl alcohol. Set your heat gun to around
700*F. Apply hot air to each of the Graphics chips, 1" away, in a
swirling motion for 15-17 seconds each on one side. Let cool down for
20min. DO NOT MOVE THE BOARD. Repeat for the other side. Let cool down
for 20min. DO NOT MOVE THE BOARD. Apply new compound to the graphics
chips with Arctic Silver. Put the PS3 back together and it should work.
It worked for me!
