Question about Whirlpool ET8CHEXSQ Dryer

White belt wheel came off

A white belt wheel with an aluminum mount came off its base and it looks like it was attached next to the motor. I can't tell if it is supposed to be mounted there because it seems it would be difficult to place the belt on it from that position. This model is around 20 years old.

The bottom of the tension roller goes in 2 slots under the motor pulley.
The wheel will be at your left facing the motor.
Reroute the belt around the drum...through the tension roller then on to the motor pulley.

The small belt in the middle of the drum broke. After I pulled the drum off I noticed a small plastic wheel on a metal bracket loose in the bottom of the dryer. I can not see where this reataches and I...

its called an idler arm, it attaches next to the motor as this is what keeps tension on the belt so it will stay tight on the drum. If I remember correctly there is a slot on the bottom of the dryer close or right next/past the motor, slide it into that slot, with the small plastic wheel up next to/by the motor. I am attaching a diagram for the belt it will help. Good Luck and I hope I helped Tim:

Remember the belt should ride in the middle of the drum and the back of the drum is lipped and should go behind the drum rollers. Once the belt is thread it will be tight and the idler arm will not longer be loose.

Where does the belt tensioner attached to the dryer itself

Belt tensioners are almost always located right next to motor pulley, either mounted to dryer base panel or to the end of motor itself. There is an access panel on the back of dryer for access to it. The opening is large enough to service it , in MOST cases.

Is there some trick to putting a transmission belt on a kirby gen. 3 ?

It would be very unusual to have a transmission belt problem. To access the belt; the handle, and switch cover plate are first removed. Next remove the 4 screws that hold the upper motor cover in place. Next remove the switch button by prying up gently on it's attaching lugs and pull it free of the switch actuating rod. 3 screws hold the transmission to the base. DO NOT remove the screw in the rear beneath the on/off pedal. By dropping the power drive assemby slightly down, you should be easily able to remove the belt.
P S: I have repaired 100's of power drive Kirbys, and have never seen a bad power drive belt. If the self-propel seems to work poorly, it is usually because the rear wheels are worn out.

-. Loosen the Power Steering/AC/Tensioner belt by loosening the Tensioner Bolt first.

How do u replace belt on 1996 buick rivera

REMOVE THE MOTOR MOUNT. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A JACK AND A N OLD YELLOW OR WHITE PAGES. PLACE THE BOOK ON TOP OF THE JACK. PUT THAT UNDER THE OIL PAN. JACK THE JACK UP TILL IT MEETS UP WITH THE OIL PAN. YOU WONT TO USE SOMETHING SOFT BUT STRONG. THE OIL PAN IS MADE OF VERY VERY THIN ALUMINUM SO BE CAREFUL NOT TO CRUSH IT. NOW THAT THE JACK IS SNUG UNDER THE OIL PAND YOU CAN REMOVE THE MOTOR MOUNT . THEN REMOVE THE BELT. TAKE NOTE OF HOW THE BELT WRAPS THRU THE MOTOR MOUNT. I LIKE TO DRAW OUT A PIC OF IT SO I WILL NOT FORGET.
TO REMOVE THE BELT TAKE A 15MM WRENCH AND RELEASE TENSION OFF THE TENSIONER. WATCH YOUR FINGERS BECAUSE IF IT SLIPS YOU WILL BE SCREAMING YOUR **** OFF IN PAIN

The blade on my bandsaw vibrates too much and gives me an uneven cut. I have tried adjusting belt tension and it doesn't help. Also the small pulley belt has been slipping off. Any suggestions?

Is it a tilt head? If so here is what I've found
-the motor has 4 bolts 3 of them have spacers and the last one does'nt(it will have a wing nut attached for adjustment) the 3 that have the spacers only need to be snug not tightened down.
you will need to look at the pulley alignment with the belt off-if they do not line up they can be adjusted-look for the allen screw on the other side of the pulley (saw side) adjust as needed. Also run the belt snug NOT to Tight.

Next - if that does'nt work try this, there are 3 allen screws 3/16 inch wrench located on the hub of the bottom wheel (behind spokes ) they are located at 2 o'clock 6 o'clock and 10 o'clock. these are directly attached to the motor mount and could be loose- tighten up but not too much as this will make your tilt not work.

Hope this helps I've been there

Lost car seat instructions. How do I install facing rear? It looks easy enough but i want to make sure I'm not missing anything.

If it has a base and you car is equipped with mounting bracket there should be small metal hooks attached to canvas straps. Simply attach the hooks to the mounting points and tighten. If no mounting brackets you will have to remove the seat from the base. Pull the lap/shoulder belt all the way out, and on the base you should see plastic retaining slots. Weave the lap and shoulder belt through both sets of hooks on the base and pull tight. When the seat is mounted back to the base you should have very little movement when you wiggle the seat

Yes I double Salkim08's solution. Since your motor is made from Aluminum, this could be a big sign that it is an interferance motor. Aluminum expands twice as much as iron. Most old fashion V motors ( v6's V8's) are made with an Iron block and Aluminum heads. But new Transverse motors( sideways front wheel drive motors), block and cylinder head, are made of aluminum.

How does the belt go on around the pulleys?

the idler arm has a white wheel. the belt sits on the wheel (both sides). Push down on the the wheel / arm and the belt should now go around the motor pulley. groove side of the belt is against the drum. So it should look like this, if your looking at it from back right side of unit, left side of belt against white wheel, press down and fit the loop around the motor pulley. Good luck!
