Bad luck that the 'imminent' failure was _SO_ soon followed by _complete_ failure.
Buy a new disk-drive. Disconnect the old disk-drive.
Install Windows to the new disk-drive.
Reconnect the old disk-drive, as a 'slave' disk-drive, and hope that you can access the files on it, even though you could no longer 'boot' Windows from it.
No absolutely not. This is happen when you delete your some system files on C: drive. It doesn't crash at once, But when you reboot. So don't ever delete your sys files. Now you can do is repair windows using the XP sp3 CD. Or replacing sys files using another OS.
Think this is helpful !
The computer is not getting pass the POST (power on self test) and therefore the hard disk information doesn't appear and the computer won't boot up.
The problem is with your RAM modules, your motherboard uses interleaved memory, it requires two identical RAM modules (a pair of RAM modules) to be inserted into the motherboard memory slots. These slots are color coded and the RAM modules MUST be inserted into the RAM slots with the same color.
For that you need to uninstall all usb driver from device manager. Right click on my computer icon then you see system property then go to hardware -> device manager then uninstall usb drivers 1 by 1 . Then restart computer then all usb drivers are automatically installed. Then connect your harddrive if still face same problem then connect your harddrive to another computer then check. If another computer cant see your harddisk then your harddisk has hardware issue. It need repairing . If it is in warrenty take it to service shop they replaced it.
the junper setting on a hard drive are:
Master - if this is the only hard drive in the computer, with the operating system on it.
Slave - If the hard drive is used with another hard drive in the computer.
The instructions are printed on the hard drive.
Hi, I think that your os has been crashed. So insert your disk and boot your system and check that your BIOS will boot from CD (Boot preference - CD ROM). And install a fresh copy of your os. Let me know the result.
