I don't know if it is the same problem that i have. I am looking for solution tooo, but i have a temporary solution for now. To turn on my vaio laptop some times is a problem. I push the power on button and only the battery led blinked but nothing else happend. The only way that I found to turn on my computer is taking out the battery and the AC connector, press the power on button serveral times and some keys some times, (I suppose that is a electric condenser that is bad and I try with this procedures discharge it), then put in the battery and push again the power on button, some times don't start at the first, but allways that i follow this procedure my computer start, some time need to retry two or five times the procedure, of push the buttons without battery and try again with the battery in, at the end when the computer start, i connect the AC connector and everything works fine....

NY Samsung laptop turns on, but only a blue screen appears. The green light on front of laptop isn't coming on.

This sounds like the Blue Screen of Death. Most likely a hardware problem. Does the blue screen display words and numbers? If so try to write down numbers and do a Google search. This should give you a good starting point. Or send me a snap shot of screen and I\'ll see what I can come up with. Hope this helps.

The unit appears to be dead but the green and yellow channel LED's continuously flicker.

I am guessing that the lights are near the network cable plug? This simply shows that there is a signal on the network cable that is plugged-in. The laptop may be dead. Is there a light on the power supply? If you remove the battery, plug the power in and press the power button, what happens?

Alright, not sure if this will help, by my understanding is that you are saying that when you power the computer using the power supply adapter, nothing comes on? Then when you have your battery installed on, then there are lights blinking from your battery charger LED amount of times. In this case there are no promblem with your laptop and it is your power supply adapter that is damaged and will need to be replaced. It is not charging the battery. The battery is still good, but does not have enought charge to power up your system. You can find a charger on ebay for a good reasonable price compare to getting it from Hp. I hope this can help you.

Power supply flashes green and no lights on laptop

Remove battery pack, press and hold power button for 5 seconds, then put battery pack back in and restart pc. This should take care of it. A bad memory stick can cause problems like this as well.

You have major problems I'm afraid. You need to contact Sony about fixing it/replacing it. Just pray it's under warranty. You could equate this problem with the 360's Red Ring of Death.

Maybe it has something to do with your power supply, try replacing it with a different one.
