Go into the BIOS and see if you can reset it from there. You had the side off and the intrusion switch was activated?

How do I disassemble my logitech cooling pad for cleaning?

Hi, I just did clean my logitech pad without any sratch. Here is how I did dissemble it.
There are 10 screws. 3 at the back of the pad, which can be removed very easy. Another 7 are under the shiny plastic part with whole for the airflow in front of the pad. It is easy to remove it. I used a wrapping ribbon (the ordinary for wrapping presents) and put it through the wholes in the top middle part of the cover, in the way you end up holding both ends of the ribbon. And gently pull the cover apart of the pad. It goes quite easy. Then remove the 7 screws (2 are hidden in the wholes with the white plastics)...and you can start cleaning. I did not remove the fen part itself. Its easy to clean it with an old toothbrush.
I hope this helps.

When i turn the computer on it starts then

SOS beeps are post codes the computer sends to alert you of problems detected during start up.

The beeps can mean anything from over heating to bad memory detected. Find out what your Motherboard bio is and check Here. This has a handy beep code listing for many of the common mother boards.
    Good luck!
    Hope this helps!

One of my fans doesnot work

open the case, remove all the dust from the fan, DO THIS WITH THE COMPUTER OFF AND UNPLUGGED! If you've never looked inside the case.... you will be surprised at the amount of dust inside. Blow it out, make sure all fans turn freely. Plug it in and fire it up.

Laptop shuts down after 15 min of web surfing

If you are able to check and make sure 100% that it's not working, you have 2 choices:
If it's under warranty I'd send it in to get looked at. Having all your cooling fans working, especially in a laptop, it very important.
If the laptop is not under warranty, you can purchase replacement fans from the manufacturer's website or even Ebay if you know what you are looking for. Depending on how familiar you are with your laptop, you may just want to take it in to a pc repair shop to get it fixed, because taking a laptop apart to fix anything at all can be a very daunting task, and things can go wrong very easily if you don't know what you are doing.

Fan problem on Pavilion dv 8333 ea

Try using canned air (compressed air, compressed gas) to blow away any dust buildup there could be. If that doesn't work, you can try greasing the fan. If it's an old laptop it's often this. Fans are usually rated for about 5 years though. So it's still very likely that the motor just died. If this is the case you will have to buy a whole new fan. It's usually cheap but because they are rare you might be charged a premium.

Upgrading the cpu and heat sink and fan

    Hi,
All the factory fitted CPUs are having such heat sinks as previously u were having.
Check on the backside there will be small plastic covers where screws fit these could be removed by screw driver but u can purchase that heat sink or can use previous heatsink as well if it is working.
