easiest way to set clock time. Remove AA battery's if installed.
Unplug Clock from AC. Wait a few seconds. Then replug clock into AC power. Clock will now flash 12:00. Press hours button until correct time is set PM has led on AM has Led off. Set minutes to correct minutes. Then press alarm reset / power/mode button. Wait a few seconds and display will show correct time. Now you can put the AA batteries back in.
It's very easy to do. First, make sure the 2 little slider switches on the far right hand side that turn the alarms on and off, are in the "down" off position. On that clock, just to the right of the large snooze button there are 5 small square buttons. Time, Fast, Slow, Alarm set 1, Alarm set 2. Depending on which alarm you want to set, hold down that button and simultaneously push either the "fast" or "slow" button to the left of it. The numbers will move forward fast or slow depending on which button you're pressing. Keep an eye on the upper left corner to determine when you've gone past 12 noon - as the indicator for PM will light up. Keep holding down the 2 buttons until you get to the time you want. Then immediately release the fast/slow button. Your time is set. Do the same for alarm 2 if needed. When finished, flip up the switch for the alarm you want to activate, and you're good to go. Piece of cake! It took me a few minutes to figure it out; but after doing it one time...it's easy. Hope that helps. I love this old Sunbeam clock. Only problem is the alarm is not very loud and there's no way to raise the volume - short of connecting wires to the speaker and using a powered speaker. Cheers!
Moderately difficult, but not impossible. ;) I picked up this clock @ second hand store with no instructions and was able to figure it out how to set it in about 15 minutes. I liked the calendar feature on the face and the LCD (as opposed to LED because I prefer my bedroom dark when I sleep).
When setting this clock, one of the keys is to pay attention to the the icons displayed on the face toward the lower left. Default "MODE" is time set. To set the time: Press "SET" followed by either "HOUR" or "MIN" while the display is flashing to increment the hours and the minutes to the correct time. As previously state, the default "MODE" is time set.
Pressing "MODE" one time accesses a secondary clock that you might use if you regularly travel to another time zone (new icon w/ 2 clocks appears). Setting the secondary clock uses the same method above.
Pressing "MODE" a second time accesses the first alarm setting (alarm clock icon starts flashing). Same method to set.
Pressing "MODE" a third time accesses the secondary alarm setting (second alarm clock icon appears and begins flashing). Same method to set.
Pressing "MODE" a fourth time accesses a timer (hourglass icon appears). Same method to set.
Pressing "MODE" a fifth time allows you to set the calendar (calendar year appears where the digital clock display was). Press "SET" to change the date: "HOUR" increments the month; "MIN" increments the day; "MODE" increments the year. Press "SET" again to exit.
Pressing "MODE" a sixth time returns to the default time set mode.
I hope this helps someone! God's blessings in Jesus Christ! ~Thomas
AHAH! I had this problem also, so i tried google and it led me here. Luckily, I kept trying and figured it out so I will share my knowledge with you although you may have found it out already...
First, make sure the radio and ipod are off and it's in clock display mode.
Then, click and hold "alm set" while clicking the left "timer set" arrow to set the hour of your alarm and the right "timer set" arrow to set minutes for your alarm.
Then click "alm on/off" to turn it on and off.
This clock has 2 alarms to set Alarm 1, switch alarm 1 to the "set" position and make sure alarm 2 is pushed to the "off" "radio" or "cathedral" position, press and hold the "alarm" button on top while pressing the "f.fwd" or "rev" button to set the alarm....to set Alarm 2, do the opposite of the set buttons and repeat...to set the time just hold the time button down while pressing "f.fwd" or "rev"...hope that wasn't too confusing.
