It locks out because their is a problem with the flame ignition after it tries to light several times it locks out. Could be a flame sensor or bad igniter. Could be other reasons but these are the most likely. You can reset it by turning the power of and back on again

Hmm I've been having problems with my furnace in Edmonton maybe that's it. Thanks for this.

You can remove the sensor out and clean it up with a piece of emmory cloth or sand paper. Now if the flame is not crossing over well ( from ignition point over to the sensor point) then the burners need to be cleaned. Unless you are very confident in doing this, you should call a professional

You have to turn the power off then back on to reset it!

Sounds like the flame sensor may not sending a signal back to the controller. clean the sensor with a non abrasive like scotch bright.

If it lights and then goes off before the blower comes on, it could be just a dirty flame sensor. All you do is see which side the ignition is and find a wire going to the opposite side, pull the sensor out and cleanness it wit some sand paper, reinstall and try it out, if it still doesn't work call an HVAC dealer in your area. I hope this helps G. P.

What is "Ignition Lockout Fault?"

I wonder why your question ended up in the wrong category.

Now that we know that it is a propane heater and not a TV I still don't know the brand name or model. I think you said 5th. wheel.
Most rv furnaces are are very similar. This is a link to trouble shooting a RV furnace.

I have a Carrier model # 58MXA080-F-15112. I think my furnace is 30 plus years old. it isn't heating properly. The blower turns on and sometimes the flames come on, but sometimes they don't. As...

A 13 code means the furnace cycled on limit more than three times consecutively and is in a lockout for 3 hours. A 14 is ignition lockout. An ignitor does not intermittently quit working. I'm the service mgr at our shop, and I know that particular furnace model has a service bulletin out on bad secondary heat exchangers. If your lucky the filter is dirty, or the furnace condensate trap or drain is clogged. Most likely the secondary heat exchanger is plugged up and isn't allowing the pressure switch to make. Or the furnace is overheating due to it not being able to properly vent hot gas. Which would explain the high limit lockouts. Call an authorized carrier dealer so you can take advantage of the free heat exchangers and the $300 labor credit. You can also call an authorized Bryant dealer to perform the work for you. Only an authorized dealer can rectify this problem because the Bryant corp requires testing and paperwork in order to get your free parts and labor credit.
Good luck.

Furnace gas valve is not opening

YOUR FURNACE IS IN LOCKOUT MODE DUE TO A SAFETY FEATURE OF UNIT. USUALLY THE HIGH LIMIT HAS BEEN TRIPPED, OR YOU PRESSURE SWITCH FROM DRAFT INDUCER MOTOR FAULTY OR PLUGGED. IT WILL CONTINUE LOCKOUT MODE UNTIL THIS IS FIXED.

Gas valve lockout

It means that the furnace isn't igniting and for safety the control board is preventing the gas valve from opening. Turn off the power to the furnace for a few seconds then observe what the furnace does in heat mode. Some furnaces will run the blower for a minute after you power it back up. After that see if the furnace tries to come on. If you are still getting the code then one of you high temp limit or roll out switches has tripped. Now is the time for a service tech. Make sure that you check you filter and air flow too. Low air flow means the furnace may be over heating.
The other thing is the hot surface igniter. Look closely at it with the power off. Do you see a white spot on the element or a crack. If so the HSI is bad. It's an easy replacement but DO NOT touch the carbon element with your fingers and be very careful handling it as it is EXTREMELY fragile.

Carrier Weathermaker SXI Model 58SX8100LG Code 12

Code 12 I believe is power up after power off and a call for heat from the the thermostat. If you have a weak door switch that may be vibrating and going on and off it would cause this as would any thing that causes the power to drop low or out then reapply its self. try holding the door switch in while watching the board and after 2 or 3 minutes the furnace should go on to lite and the blower cycle off. If it stays in this mode try turning the thermostat off (heat - OFF -cool) and then push in the door switch nothing should happen except the lite on the board come on and stay on. If it does this than have someone turn the thermostat to heat and see if it starts or put the door on and set the heat and see if *** goes through the normal cycle of heating. If however it goes right back into the blower mode and shows the 12 code your problem is still with you. So next remove the wire on the "W" terminal on the board. Retry power to the door switch and now nothing should be on except the red lite. If it tries to start the 12 code and blower up again Im pretty sure you have a bad ignition/blower control board.
