Download Malwarebytes from a site like download.com and run it. It should help . I had the same problem on two customers computers. This new spyware disabled access to the drives, regedit, task manager, admin priveleges, etc. (particularly nasty). I had to boot into safemode with networking to be able to download the software.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Too many programs open at start up

Your best bet is to download CCleaner and use the startup cleanup option. The program is free, and it won't let you prevent any essential system apps from running

In normal mode PC hangs due to spies or viruses. Unable to start the system in safe mode or safe ode in networking mode always it restarts if tried with safe mode. www.kaspersky.com, www.grisoft.com,...

When you are restarting the PC - Press F8 Key till you get the options to Boot
Choose Last Known Good Configuration and load windows
Once you have logged into your PC - try to MSCONFIG

If that does not work, Open Task Manager ( CTRL + ALT + DEL ) key and Click on Services Tab. Click the Services Button below. and it should let you open SERVICES.MSC

Disable all the Antivirus software installed ( double click on the software name and under Startup type - choose Disable )
Also Disable the Windows Installer

Try to access or Download some Virus program to Run or Clean.

1. first of all, restart the computer in the safe mode with networking.
How to restart the computer in the safe mode with networking:
As soon you restart the computer, start hitting F8 key immediately (on the top line of the keyboard.) up and down at least 20-30 times and choose safe mode with networking by using the up and down arrow key on the keyboard and hit enter twice.
2. now delete teh temporary files.
click start, run, and type in temp and select all of the temporary files and delete them click start, run, and type in %temp% and select all of the temporary files and delete them.

3.Now, click start, Run, type in MSconfig. and at the top right hand side corner of the system configuration utility, click startup and now uncheck the startup which you do not want at the start of the computer or you can use disable all at the bottom.

4. Now,click Apply and OK(or close) at the bottom.

5.Now, after disabling items in the System Configuration Utility, you need to remove them from the registry also they can be found in one of the following locations and can be deleted as under.
click start, run, type in regedit.
Now go to follwoing location.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SharedTools\MSConfig\startupfolder
right click on startupfolder and click Delete
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\MSConfig\startupreg
right click on tartupreg and click Delete
Now, restart the computer, issue would be fixed.

I have the BSOD problem - msconfig admin privileges

msconfig is just a nice GUI to the keys in registry, what you may have is a driver or disk problem.
run chkdsk C: /F (or /P if in repair console)
instead of running msconfig, run services.msc and disable everything that doesn't belong to microsoft.
with another computer, download Autoruns.zip
copy it to the troubled machine and run it via the command line.
It's a very nice utility, msconfig on steroids :)
