Question about Audio Players & Recorders

Behringer Feedback Destroyer FBQ2496

Hi,
I have got it connected to my PA system. I tried to setup so that it runs ONLY on 'automatic filter' mode, but I am still getting feedback from the speakers. Obviously I have to setup properly. Can someone tell me how (which buttons on the unit to press, and in what order)? Once it's engaged on automatic filter mode, what should I see on the front display of the unit?

SOURCE: How to connect PA mixer with built-in amp to feedbk dstryr unit?

The feedback unit should be connected between the pre-amp section and the power amp section. As you descrubed the ST-out and P.Amp IN are the ones to use.

SOURCE: I am experiencing distortion when using my dsp1124p FB destroyer

I dont know this model of feedback destroyer, but i'd like to tell you this. I'm a service technicien for a touring company. We found that in the last 10 years Behringer quality drop down so much that was making alot of their components useless. To cure such problem usually found with monitor, i'll recommand buying a 31 band EQ and adjust the mid high freq level section. You could install it with inserts cable just on the main vocal entry i guess, also you should give a try to this way of connections for you feedback destroyer. It might be the way you're hooking it. Send a draw of the actual connections...

SOURCE: I've never used PA systems or vocal setups.

Hi, the speakers are unpowered, but that desk is also unpowered, so you need an amplifier in the circuit. This can either be in the desk, in the speaker, or a separate device, there are advantages to each.

How do I get the feedback filter to permanently store a programme. Have I missed something in the instructions? Maybe it is not intended to store a setup. Could you help please?

No you don't get it, the channel/frequencies which give the feedback , those are the ones you need to lower, so they don't give problems anymore. And until the feedback is gone by lowering the level of the output, then things are ok. They may sometimes go in the red, not to the top. You have the idea that because you have put your levels way too high, the destroyer does the job, ..... no it limits the output so you don't f-up your stereo

What is the best way to connect an external EQ or Feedback Destroyer unit to a Behringer PMP3000

Get an "insert snake" which splits each of two TRS plugs into TWO TS plugs.
Plug the TRS ends into the MAIN INSERT jacks and each of the "TIP" plugs at the other end into inpout jacks of the destroyer. Plug the "RING" plugs into the output jacks of the destroyer. You will need a snake with at least two sets of splits. I use a Behringer PROCOM compressor. For those the TRS plugs go into the channel insert jacks and the tips and ring plugs go to the in and out of each channel of the compressor respectively.

I don't know how to use behringer feedback destroyer DSP1124p

Determine where in the mixer's signal path to connect the unit. Your options are:
1. One or two individual microphone channels via the mixer's CHANNEL INSERT in/out jacks.
2. The monitor mix output via the mixer's MONITOR OUT jacks.
3. The main mix output via the mixer's MAIN OUT jacks.

  • 2 Connect a balanced cable with the appropriate connectors from CHANNEL INSERT OUT jacks on the desired mixer channel to INPUT RIGHT or LEFT on the Feedback Destroyer's back panel for individual microphone channels. Connect a balanced cable with the appropriate connectors from the OUTPUT RIGHT or LEFT jacks on the Feedback Destroyer's back panel to that mixer channel's CHANNEL INSERT IN jack.
  • 3 Connect a balanced cable with the appropriate connectors from the mixer's MONITOR OUT jacks to the INPUT RIGHT or LEFT jacks on the Feedback Destroyer's back panel for the monitor signal path. Connect a balanced cable with the appropriate connectors from the OUTPUT RIGHT or LEFT jacks on the Feedback Destroyer's back panel to the monitor amplifier INPUT jack or amplified monitor speaker INPUT jacks.
  • 4 Connect a balanced cable with the appropriate connectors from the mixer's MAIN OUT jacks to the INPUT RIGHT or LEFT jacks on the Feedback Destroyer's back panel for the main mix (FOH) signal path. Connect a balanced cable with the appropriate connectors from the OUTPUT RIGHT or LEFT jacks on the Feedback Destroyer's back panel to the main amplifier INPUT jack or amplified house speaker INPUT jacks.

How o u hook up behringer feedback destroyer to a powered mixer

In order for this to work properly it must be inserted between the last pre-amp stage and the power amp. Can you please update this with the mixer that you are using? With the make and model of the mixer, I can provide you with a connection description. Since each mixer will have different labeling and options, it is not possible for me to accurately describe the connections without hte make and model.

    Thanks,
    Dan

How to connect feedback destroyer pro dsp1124p ?

It all depends what you are connecting it to... Essentially wire it someplace between the preamps of microphones and the power amps that drive speakers. The only stipulation is that you want the levels to be "line level" signals.

If you are using a powered mixer, you will do this as an "insert" using the insert effect jacks. The preamp signal goes to the "in" of the destroyer, and the "out" goes to the following amp.

Show me how to hook up the Behringer destroyer pro?

What are you going to hook up to?

Essentially you connect the power cord to power and connect outputs from say a mixer to the inputs using TRS balanced cables... and connect the outputs of the unit to your power amplifier.

Note taht there are MANY other possibilities using "inserts:on some devices.
