I don't like the new inbox I want the old one now if you won't switch me you are forcing me into something that I hate and I will end canceling my internet

Please don't be upset. The switch was mandatory at some point, but Yahoo does know that there are issues with the new version.

To switch back, sign into your mail account. Click options on the right hand side of the page, and click switch to mail classic.

This will switch your account back to the old version.

My e-mail has been compromised. I have different companies sending their information to everyone in my contacts. How can I fix this?

Hi Lindalabusch

Unfortunately this is one of the signs of the unscrupulous times we live in.

This kind of infection is usually spread by miscreants sending random e-mails out to long strings of e-mail addresses. These rogue e-mails contain small programs called 'mailbots' or 'spybots', whose only function is to scan a user's contacts list and perpetuate the infection by send copies of themselves to everyone in the contacts list. The ultimate aim of these mailbots or spybots is to turn each successfully infected computer into an automated, remote, Spam Server that sends streams of often unsavoury, unsolicited advertising to everyone in the user's contacts list. In this way, the originators widen the ambit of their marketing reach by arithmetic progression, while keeping the location of their own servers relatively hidden.

The only option to you, I am afraid, is to save your contacts list, delete all your contacts from the previous account, open a new e-mail account, e-mail all your contacts simultaneously (apologizing for the intrusion and explaining the circumstances), to advise them to be vigilant for similar threats and, of course, inform them of your new e-mail address.

A few simple precautions to prevent further infections of your new e-mail account:

Never click on any links or attachments in e-mails from people you don't know.
Never complete any online Surveys.
Never reply to any unsolicited e-mail from people or organisations you don't know and trust.
Do not accept invitations to join Social networks unless you know and fully trust the inviter.
If possible, avoid even opening e-mails from people or organisations you don't know (genuine, communicators with a valid reason to contact you will have and use other means of contacting you if you don't recognize or failed to reply to their e-mails).

Maintain the old e-mail address for archive purposes, so you can refer to old e-mails there if needs be.

I hope this helps.

You will need to go to www.yahoo.com contact page [ look on the bottom of the opening page] and simply ask them to restore the account. Sometimes Yahoo messes up and can delete an entire account. It happens

For the beggining try to sign in from the webinterface: Yahoo Mail. If it works, then changing connection options for your messenger. It could have changed. If it doesn't work try to reinstall Yahoo Messenger. Good luck.

Dear Sir. try to open my yahoo mail but cannot why?

1. Make sure your iOS version is up to date, as well as the version of Yahoo Messenger. If you don't know if your Y!Messenger is up to date, consult with iTunes store (don't worry it's free)

2. If it fails to show you the link for your yahoo mail, go to Yahoo.com and click on mail.

3. Make sure you've cleared your cache and your browsing history.

4. Try logging in to your yahoo mail now.

Cas1st I'm very slow on the computor. I am trying to respond to an ad on craigslist. I don't know about E-mail server names, incoming mail[pop3, IMAP, or HTTP] . Or outgoing[SMTP]server. Can you...

All of those settings are needed for configuring a e-mail client on your computer, technically you don't need any of that.

If you're just trying to respond to a craiglist ad I'd use a web based e-mail like GMAIL or YAHOO,
then you can just log in to their website and send the mail that way.

Note:
You won't be able to simply click on the e-mail address on the Craiglist ad as this will prompt you to input info into Outlook Express which is what probably brought you here.
Instead just copy and paste the e-mail address into a new message on a web based e-mail.

Spell checker not working in Yahoo email

" A few of you have been reporting that you are having issues with the spell-checker in the new version of Yahoo! Mail. I just want to let you know that we are aware of the issue and will have a fix out soon.
In the meantime, you can use the built-in spell checking functionality of some of today’s modern browsers. For example, the latest versions of Firefox, Google Chrome and Safari all have in-line spell checkers. If you don’t have one of those browsers installed or don’t want to install one, you can use classic Yahoo! Mail until we have rolled out the fix (from ‘Options’ click the ‘Switch to Yahoo! Mail Classic’ link)."
