Hi there,
Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.

SOURCE: Hp xw 6000, keeps shuuting down during initial boot up.

reseat ram if not i'd say to take 1 stick of ram at a time and start the computer with such might be a ram issue or run memtest 1.7 which can be downloaded here boot to cd once downloaded and burned to test ram

SOURCE: ntvdm.exe

boot to safe-mode - goto start then run and type msconfig -

Within Msconfig you should see a startup tab. Look in there and remove or uncheck all that appear to be using ntvdm.exe

Also check in start, programs, startup, remove anything there as well.

Let me know if that does not help.

SOURCE: pc keeps randomly powering off & then back on.

Power supplies usually are culprits in random shut downs, but random start ups is a bit more complicated. You say that when you hold the power button, the computer won't power down. Perhaps you have a faulty switch? Make sure your PW switch cable is securely attached to the motherboard. But I'm leaning more toward a faulty switch or a short in the wires. Seems like a good place to start.

SOURCE: my HP 2009m goes into sleep mode & shuts down

I just bought a 20 inch HP 2009m monitor about 2 months ago.

One of the functions within the monitor, is to go to 'Sleep'
The Sleep mode is to keep the monitor active, but using very little power.

(I always turn mine off when I'm finished with the computer. More longevity for the monitor, and less electricity used. With today's economy every little bit helps)

You can set a desired time for the monitor to go into Sleep mode, or you can disable this function. (Off)

Factory setting is supposed to be set to Off, to my understanding.

You can view what the Sleep setting is, while you are using your monitor. The monitor has on On-Screen menu.
(OSD. On-Screen Display)

To the left of the Power On button, (Lighted when the monitor is on), there are Four function buttons.

These are located right under the bottom edge of the monitor.

One is located right under where it states - Menu

One is located right under the combination speaker symbol, and Minus - symbol.

One is located right under the combination Source, and Plus + symbol

The last button is located right under the combination Auto/OK

When the On-Screen Menu is activated it, is a small window.
You will still be able to view around it.

However, you may find it best to write the following instructions down, as you may not be able to view them here, and also the On-Screen menu.

1) Press the Menu button up.
The On-Screen main menu will now be visible.

2) In the list given you want Management.
Use the Minus ( - ) speaker button, to move the highlight down to Management.

3) With Management highlighted press the Auto/OK button.

4) In the Management sub-menu where you are now, you want to choose - Sleep, in the list.
Use the Minus - button, and move the highlight down to Sleep.

5) With Sleep highlighted press the Auto/OK button.

6) In the Sleep sub-menu view across from Timer.
Is ON highlighted?
Plus is there a time set?

If you wish to turn the Timer off:

Use the Minus - button to highlight Timer.

Press the Auto/OK button.
Now press the Minus - button, and highlight OFF.

Press the Auto/OK button again.

Save and Return at the bottom of the list should now be highlighted.
Press the Auto/OK button.

This will take you back a screen, and you should now see Exit highlighted.
Press the Auto/OK button.

Your monitor is now set to have the Sleep mode function shut off.

Should like to hear the results of this.

Could be the coil pack going bad or fuel pump. Find the coil pack and spray water on the outside of it. Not a lot just a stream to keep it cool. It should be on top. Here is a video

My Acer Laptop battery shuts down completely at 40 - 30

Go to Power Options --> On the plan you are using select change plan settings --> Change advanced power settings --> Scroll down till you reach battery and click the + next to it to expand the settings --> Where it says Critical battery level and Critical battery action (on battery) make sure that the level is at 5% and the action is to hibernate. If it's set to do nothing, it will keep running until it's out of battery and completely shut off. Plugging the AC adapter would give it more power. If that isn't the problem, check your battery's connection and consider replacing the battery.

Try unplugging everything and then plugging it back in. When my xbox had the "ring of fire" my brother asked me to fix it and I just unplugged and re plugged it worked and came back to life. (be careful that you either have the instuction menu for setup of you can remember where all the plugs go, otherwise you'll have to right down what goes where or else you may get confused and never be able to fix your poor television)

My acer aspire 5315 shuts off suddenly and won't restart till it wants to. I replaced the battery, no difference....what's wrong?

This could be a sign that your laptop is overheating. If you touch the laptop while it is running & you find it too hot, make sure that the fan is running properly & that the air ways are not blocked.
You can blow compressed air into the cooling vents of the fan. If you notice clouds of dust coming out, then it might be a good idea to disassemble the laptop, clean the fan & air ways, & reassemble it back. If the fan has failed & is no longer running, it might need to be replaced

Amp keeps cutting off

Do you have heavy enough gauge wire supplying B+ to amp.Big amps draw a lot of current and require very heavy gauge wire. The longer the run the heavier the gauge needed.

KDS monitor screen goes blank.when you shut it off & turn it back on it goes blank again within a few seconds.

make sure all the cables are secure... by unplugging and re-plugging them back in. Does the monitor feel very hot in the back or on top? If so unplug the monitor and tip it upside down to make sure nothing metal fell inside.
