Question about Office Equipment & Supplies

3 Answers

Hi, I recently purchased a casio QT-2100 (cash register)... I have purchased a programming manual (the unit has arrived NOT programmed) and must admit, I do not seem to have had much success. Using either the power off with the top left or right button in either case I finally come up with the intruction: "Please sign on". Not sure if I am completely stupid but everything I try just gets the message "opperator mistake". Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Steve

I have checked to see that no buttons seem "stuck on"...every button I press except for "clear, Esc, or numbers" result in the same "opperator error" message

  • pohlster Mar 12, 2009

I am expecting "hours" of work ahead re-programming.

Having said that....I still can't sign on to do anything.

The intstallation manual mentioned a "PMG-programme" button. I do not see one or it could be marked as something else. Is there a key assigned specially for PMG?

Just need help with the "sign on" request.

try a reset on your machine by following method..... and let me know for Any progress...:-

1 Turn the machine off with the switch under the machine.

2 Hold down the upper right hand corner button and while holding down the button turn the machine back on

3 Wait for the display to come back

4 press Subtotal ( usually the third button up on the lower right side or the one just to the left of that one)

5 It will come up with a 2 line menu that say Flag Clear or Init 2

6 Scroll down to Init2 and enter "8" 10 times and press yes

note..: but by doing this you will lose a massive amount of system programming, and will have hours of work ahead of you.

    thanks

HI I WANT CHANGE name and tlf number on casio QT-2100

Hi. Casio don't give out programming information for the high end terminals. You need to purchase a separate programming manual for this model. You can find it on the net. It has the codes and tables for changing characters on the receipt. try this link:

How to change tax percentage in my casio qt-6600 cash register???

Page 29 gives the details on how it shows on the ticket. There must be a special programming book. When I had a Casio the dealer came and reprogrammed mine when he was in the area.

I would contact them direct

Casio qt-2100 when i turn it on there is no display!

Usually lock up due to flat battery. Perform the flag clear sequence from your programming manual and it will probably return to normal service if it isn't too flat (been left unplugged). If you do not have a programming manual, one of the users has it here:

My Casio 2100 has frozen and is producing an error message I can't clear

Sounds like a faulty battery or main pc board. If the battery hasn't been changed by a dealer within 4 years, I'd start there.

Casio qt 2100 programming I/O for epson tm-t88III

I haven't worked on the 2100 for years but I know you can't use a TMT88 series as a slip printer. The TMT88 is for receipts or kitchen. If you want to print special slips, you would need to get a dot matrix slip printer. This model is compatible with the SA-3015 and SP-1300 Slip printers.

Hi, i m looking for casio till qt-2100 button sheet

What do you mean by button sheet? Do you mean the clear plastic that goes in the menu sheet holder, or the paper sheet with the alphabet on it for programming (programming keysheet), or the paper sheet that has your products written on it (menu keysheet)?
