I cant see any network icon on my vostro1000 .please help me from where i can download the drivers

Not acses to the internet

wats ur internet type of connection. wats ur system specs. please give a brief details. then it may give idea wats the problem is.
If XP, check whether the network icon (2 monitos blinking icon near clock in task bar @ bottom right corner) is blinking or marked with RED. If yes then the network cable is unplugged. or the icon is not present there, go CONTROL PANEL, NETWORK CONNECTION, see for LOCAL AREA CONNECTION. that might be highlighted (else if its grey shaded, right click & select enable). If the icon is not present there, go to control panel, SYSTEM - HARDWARE tab - DEVICE MANAGER. on the lower edge you should see NETWORK ADAPTERS, expand it there the network cards should be there. If you cant find the drivers there, try to look it with YELLOW QUESTIONED marked devices. if this is present, then you should try to re install the driver.

Dell vostro1000 , windows7 hangs after login,blank screen and no any icon black and blank screen only.

your user profile could be corrupt. can you boot into safe mode ok? (press f8 on boot before windows logo appears)

I need to connect to the internet

can you see if the network card has the correct drivers?
Click Start; Right Click on "My Computer" Select Manage

A new application will launch - Computer Management
From this application, click on "Device Manager"
There may be some devices with ? listed - make sure that there is at least a device under network adapter. If there isn't, then the driver is not set for the network adapter - you'll need to take the original pc system disk to get the driver; or download it from dell.

USe The PAckage which you Downloaded From Net.
Open DEvice MAnager By Rgt Clicking the My Computer Select Manage Then Select Device Manager From MAnager from Left...
Your Network Adapter Icon is Overcomed by "?" this sign Rgt click on it Now SDelect Update Drivers. Now It will Ask to go on net Skip This Step. In Next Step Provide the location where your Downloaded Driver is located.. It Will Install.. if Any Error Occurs then Select "Ignore Option If it is there"...

Wifi connectin problem

is your wireless router set to broadcast itself?
you should be able to double-click the small, single computer icon in the lower right corner and have at least one wireless network (yours) to connect to. once you click it to connect, it may require a key sequence, if it is set up for it (passcode).Also, try clicking "Start", right-click "Computer", choose "Properties", "hardware" tab, and "Device Manager". Check to see if your wireless network card has a driver problem (yellow exclamation point". Can you access the network with your netbook connected to the router via a cable? If you can, and have internet access, go to the Acer Support site and download the latest wireless card drivers and install them. see if this helps. Good luck!

I cant see any network icon on my laptop

Download the drivers you require from the DELL WEB site, their support/download page. I suggest you use the Service Tag number that is printed on the label on the bottom of the laptop. This will ensure you will get the correct drivers for your model laptop.
