SOURCE: My Sevylor K5 Kayak has a rip on the inseam about 4" long. Ive tried to fix it but unsuccessful. What is the best vynil repair kit for inflatable boat? Any advice is appriciated!

Seam repairs are terrifically difficult to do effectively. The K5's relatively thin material is worse than most. If you want to stick with inflatables, One of Sevylor's Sevytex (SVX) kayaks is pretty much indestructible, and a much better boat. There are some terrific kayaks available out there. Don't believe the hype - paddling.net has plenty of reviews.

How do i take apart the speaker to fix it?

Generally the speaker can be removed from the box by taking the Grill portion off. Some are attached with Velcro and some with plastic pins on the frame that are pushed into the box. If a speaker is set in place with glue, you can't remove it unless you rip it out completely by hand. Some have screws and these are easy to remove. The speaker wires may be short, so take care not to rip out wires with the speaker attached. When you did the speaker replacement, place the speaker Grill (Front panel) back in place and you are done.

The lip of the planetary ripped off and I am having a trouble replacing it for a Kitchen aid K5-A mixer

The planetary is replaced by removing the chrome drip ring from the housing and then knocking the through pin out that holds the planetary hub onto the shaft from the gearbox. In New Zealand the planetary comes as individual parts not an assembled unit so will certainly look different to the full assembly you take off. The lip of the planetary ripping off is most likely caused by one or more of the 5 gearcase screws under the planetary coming loose and rubbing. Check the other 4 (total) screws at back and middle of gearcase as well.

What is the best type of wrench to remove an EGR valve from 1995 Honda Odyssey? The housing of the valve hangs over the bolts a bit so my regular sockets doesn't fit well.

what about a nice ring spanner ?? i would not use open ended in case they slip as i value my hands even anything plastic i break or cut off then glue back on again nothing worse than ripping skin open on a protruding plastic tie clip or a plastic support thingy

Had a cd player installed in 01 tribute and the guy who did it ripped the vinyl on the upper dash. Need to know what can be done to fix it . Can it be redone or just have to be replaced?

there is a vinyl glue on the market for fixing this kind of plastic you may find it in a swiming/camping shop,,,yes thats right,,, they use it to fix things like punchers in beach balls and swim rings, air beds all sorts of things like that,, it will glue this tear up tape the tear together and apply the glue in spots till you stich up the tear then when dry and set rub it down lightly with steel wool till the gloss has gone from the glue,,,cheap fix realy,,,

Olympus XD60 Microcassette

If the tape has ripped from the wheel itself then you can glue it back to the wheel with a good strong glue (I'd recommend araldite), or if the tape has ripped you can use sellotape to fasten the two sections back together.

I believe this cassette is moulded plastic so what you will need to do is carefully break it apart along the central seam to access and repair the tape itself, then use your strong glue to glue it back up after the repair is done. You have to be really careful dong this so as to not get glue inside the tape itself and gum up the mechanism.

Finally make sure you leave it to set properly before you try and play it (refer to the glue packet), for araldite I think its 24 hours. Also if you use glueto stick the tape back to the wheel make sure that is set before you reassemble the cassette or your wheel will get jammed.

I just finished disassembly and it wasn't that bad. Take off all four screws around the battery, then carefully but forcefully take the plastic casing off. Then, take the 2 screws on the main circuit board. That will reveal one connection for the ribbon cable, take that off. Under that is the backplate sliding mechanism of the phone. There will be 6 screws on this assembly, one of them under cable the connects to the keyboarb (bottom right). You will have to take off a green tape and also a gold padding to get to this final screw. After that is off, you will see the other half of the ribbon. Take that one off also, just yank it off. Install the new ribbon tape, make sure you don't rip it, and you're set. good luck. EE
