All bread machines have a final "punch down" of the dough that lasts a few seconds before the final rise stage. When "punch down" is over that is when you can remove the dough ball, remove the paddle, set it aside and place the dough ball back in the pan. Kneading paddle gets stuck in loaf after baking and is hard to remove

Hi, it is common for this to happen with bread machines. It often helps if you have a modern machine and you can choose the crust color and you choose Light Crust. The other thing you can do is if you are using recipes that use water in the liquid phase use milk instead. If you paddle still sticks then you just need to turn the loaf on its side and use a popsicle stick, tooth pick etc and trace around the loaf where the paddle is and dig it out.

Kneading paddle is baked into bottom of bread loaf. Is this normal?

Yes, this is a common occurrence.
Nothing to worry about unless you chow down and forget to remove the paddle(s). :)

Since the paddle(s) stays in the pan after the kneading and through the baking process. The bread can trap the paddle(s) as the batter cooks.

We have gone through 3 different bread machines and over time all eventually did this. A little wear on the spindle will loosen the paddle(s).
Hope this helps!

Can the kneading paddle be removed before baking?

Hi,
Yes you can remove the paddle before baking. The cuizinart has a buzzer that sounds when to take the paddle out

If you want to take the paddle out you should make sure your machine has a pause feature so you don't lose any rising time.

Take pan out of machine, empty dough into a bowl, remove paddle, squirt the shaft in the bread pan lightly with veg oil (prevents sticking) then return the dough after final kneading time and before final rise.

I have a problem with my bread sticking to my kneading blades and spoiling the loaf when it comes out of the tin

Hi,
The blade is supposed to come out of the pan with the bread. Then you can remove the paddle from the loaf.

If the paddle does not come on and off the shaft easily it may be seated too tight on the shaft. Make sure everything is clean and keep taking it on and off the shaft to see if it frees up, or use a little bit of olive oil to lubricate it.

You can get a replacement kneading paddle for this model at Applica, which is 1-800-738-0245 (Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., ET). I just talked to them today! They don't have the replacment pan but do still have the paddle. Hope this helps!
