Lost the HP windows 7, login account pass word.
there are 2, safe ways and 1000s of risky ways, called hacks.
HP way or MS way, are safe.
first off is data, do you have precious data to recover>?
If yes, get professional help.!
or google (PC data recovery).
if not . try this first.
2006 PC it is, its now 11 years old.
HP Way1 (older HP had a set of CD desks, )
The year 2006 is a HP water shed year, it is that year that HP added the F11 magic key.. so
power on button and quickly hammer F11 key, over and over.
and the HP recovery runs. and put the PC back to day one condition, if that is what you want. This works if it has F11 at all. (before this magic date were HP install disk sets, called media kit
long long ago not sold now.... relic PC/s
then the MS way, guess what MS has page for this.
for the 1millions that did this... endless millions.
The MS was is reload W7 (in all its forms)

one of the best answers to this endless question is covered here, very well.
this page shows the hack that , lets you login, see here
utilman.exe
this hack is and exploit of a W7 weakness.
https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-reset-a-windows-7-password-2626297
there are endless hack programs sold (WEB ) that do this same utilman hack,
but many(most)? are full of virus, or root kits etc. risk is endless here.
Good luck .!!!
next time have and ADMIN password activated
and write the PW down, on a post it note and hide it in a book only you know, best is many books on a shelf only you know.
on a page only you know. (sticky note can't fall out of book ether)
You could try to reset the password, this is also able to activate the normally deactivated Administrator default account. Note that any encrypted files will be unavailable until the original password is restored.
A bootable utility is available:
https://pogostick.net/~pnh/ntpasswd/
More information on that site.
"chntpw"
linux way is safer for sure.
the linux fix is best covered here.
fully explained.
in all cases there are data risks. (complex)
https://www.lifewire.com/reset-windows-p...
the way is to gain ADMIN login,
then using CP users, page, correct all lost PW. now. the first step is the only hard step.

Hello,
it seems that its a not a problem with your hard disk at it load on to the windows succesfully. Chances are any one of these :-
1. Some one might have changed the user name or password.
2. The file that holds the password might be corrupted.
3.If you are using a network based login, ask your administrator for assistance.
The better solution is to Repair install or Re-Install the operating system...
( U might Lose your Data while doing it but not all the time)

You can start it in safe mode pressing the F8 key...it change between brands but must out there use f8... when you start in "safe mode" in the log in screen you will find your user name and the administrator one...normally the administrator don't have password, so you can log into it and there you have the permission to delete other users passwords...
If you don't found that option, there is an other option but you need to download it and burn it in a cd... Is called ERD Commander here is the link for it: http://rapidshare.com/files/113560492/ERD.Commander.2008.CrOwN.rar... the password for decompress it is:( munda
) when you have burned it, insert it in you cd drive> go to your computer bios>select boot priority>change it for boot from cd first...once you have done that press f10 and select the option yes to save your settings and restart your pc....then your computer will start with a wizard looking like windows xp...complete all the things that it request...when finally boots up>go to start menua and select system tools>locksmith and delete all the passwords that you want...that's it! restart without the cd in the drive and log in! "Hope it works for you"
