You should always remove and uninstall programs from your PC that you are not using.
It could be beneficial to your computer's productivity and functioning to free up space.
You run the risk of running out of space on your computer if you add too many programs without uninstalling some.
It is a relatively easy process, but you should be sure you are not removing a program that is necessary to the operation of your computer.
Click "Start" and select "Programs."
Click "Control Panel" and "Programs" and "Programs and Features."
Browse the list of programs on your computer and select one that you want to remove.
Click "Uninstall." You may be prompted for permission from the administrator to remove the program. Enter the administrator password or confirmation if necessary.
Check the properties of the program if it is not listed in "Programs."
You can do this by right-clicking on the program desktop icon and selecting "Properties." Check to see if the program is compatible with the version of Windows that you are using.
Click "Start" and "Run," to manually remove the programs if the uninstall option does not completely uninstall the program.
Type "Regedt32" in the box and click "OK."
Locate the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall" registry key and click "Export" under the "File" tab.
Click "Desktop" on the "Export Registry File" dialog box.
Type "Uninstall" in the "File Name" box and select "Save."
The left panel of the Registry Editor will display the programs that are currently installed.
Right-click the key in the left panel of the Registry Editor window.
Click "Delete."
Click "Yes" when you are asked to confirm deletion of the program.
Click the "File" menu and select "Exit."
This will exit the Registry Editor.
Click "Start" and "Control Panel" and click "Add or Remove Programs."
Confirm that the program is no longer listed here.
and you might have other web search toolbars interfering
Create the menu tab on your homepage right click in the top toolbar you should see a number of toolbar options select the menu tab which will add File Edit View Favorites Tools and Help
Click on the tools at the bottom of the drop down list will be internet options or
Click start control panel internet options you will see a home page box To Create Page Tabs type
each adress on its own line (type in google.com) or your preferred home page and browser

How do i speed up computer

Depends on what kind of "speed up" you are looking for.
Running a Defragmenting Program such as Defraggler which can be downloaded at www.download.com. Downloading anothoer program CCleaner an run all the cleaning tasks available.
The next way would be stopping programs you have running in the background. Most commonly found on the bottom right of your toolbar. If you have alot running or even just 1 bad one that is a hog that can usually fix the slowdown.
Another new slowdown I\'ve seen on some systems is the "microsoft security suite" program. If you notice this installed on your system in your "control panel". You should uninstall that program. ( ONLY UNINSTALL IF YOU HAVE ANOTHER FORM OF ANTIVIRUS )
The last thing you can try would be to run antivirus programs, such as Malwarebyte\'s Anti-Malware and check for viruses and malware that could be slowing down your system.

You can download all the software listed from download.com, but watch what you click and agree to when installing because some programs have extra stuff like toolbars for IE etc.

If those solutions can\'t get you to an acceptable speed, I would highly recommend a new system. The cost to have it sped up would be much better spent on a new system, unless of course it is new or fairly new. We build custom systems suited to your needs and well under the big box store prices. If you are interested let me know.

The task bar disapeared

run you antivirus program

If CTRL+ESC didn't make it come back, then the program that displays the task bar most likely isn't running.

That program is often called the "Windows Shell", but it's really "explorer.exe". It's the program that not only displays the Taskbar, but also responds to the CTRL+ESC sequence.

The workaround: press CTRL+ALT+DEL to fire up the Task Manager. Now on the File menu, select New Task (Run...). Type in "explorer" and press OK. That should restart explorer and re-display your Taskbar.

hope this helps

Computer very slow

If your problem is that your computer is very slow and you have upgraded your memory to the maximum, then you should concentrate on cleaning up and optimising the Windows file system.

Download and install the following utility programs that can help you to improve the performance of your computer.

Advanced System Care Free - run the Deep Care option of this utility.
DiskMax - run a Detailed Scan and let it clean up all profiles, updates, cache etc.
Smart Defrag - run a Defrag and Fast Optimize
CCleaner - use this to compliment the above plus use the Tools Uninstall option to remove any unwanted software programs, browser tool bars etc. Also use the Tools Startup option to disable any of the programs being started on every boot that don't need to be, i.e. things like QuickTime, Adobe Reader.

My FUJITSU FMV-720NU5/B LIFEBOOK has this problem of sudden shut off when it's getting hot. What could be the possible solution for this problem?

1.Temperature gets high if many programs work, specially programs which uses more graphic and processor. Disable/uninstal some un-important program you have installed.
2.Normally Fan processor should be cooling the processor, but sometimes we must check the heatsink, something might blocked the fan to run run faster if system overheat >>> tri clean the heatsink and fan up carefully. you might need an air blows to sucked/blows the dirt inside the heatsink.

Hi! Last night, my Samsung N150 was still working properly. But when I connect a music player, it stopped working. When I restarted it, the taskbar was already stretched upward and the start button failed...

Try running you're antivirus. Scan you're drive and you're music player because i'm assuming that you're music had a virus that attached itself to you're netbook. If that didn't worked or you're antivirus didn't run at all ( because some viruses and specially malwares can actually do that ) try running it in safe mode (pressing f8 during initial boot) or run you're system recovery in safe mode (this will revert you're system to the date you're netbook didn't have any problems).
To prevent this kind of problem in the future i would suggest turning off you're autorun. Try running this procedure http://antivirus.about.com/od/securitytips/ht/autorun.htm
If you're having a hard time understanding it the easiest way to do it closing the autorun pop out once you insert you're music player. Then just double click you're computer then right click on the drive then select explore. And make sure that anything you insert in you're netbook in the future to scan it first with you're antivirus before doing anything.
Hope this helps. Good Day. ( :

If i have a virus on my computer and I format my C drive..that might help to get rid of it right?

You are right, but if it didn't infect only your C drive, then you are still not 100% secured and cleaned. I would suggest you to run full system scan using an updated antivirus program. There are many free antivirus programs which are very effective. You can try Avira Free (click HERE to download). Scanning will take time, but it's better to waste time than wasting data and having a virus infected computer.
Hope this helps.
Let me know if you need further help.
Good Luck.

How to run msointl.dll

dll files are not made to run on it's own they are part of a program and run in itself as a system file for that program. It helps the exe to run any event described in the exe encoding. In case you are getting an error in operating system that means that particular dll has corrupted and now you require to repair your operating system. In case it's a program then you are required to uninstal that program and re-install it.

How can I uninstal program Your Protection

You need to use the Norton Removal tool as Norton imbeds itself throughly in your system. Get the tool here and shut down Norton and then run the tool. http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4749 After you get it uninstalled download this free program called cCleaner. http://www.ccleaner.com/ Open it up and run the Issue tab which will remove any remnants of Norton left. Look at all cCleaner can do and use it weekly to clean your system. Very safe and excellent program I have installed and used on dozens of computers.

I'm trying to uninstal AVG, but it says there is 1 problem and will not uninstal the program. can you help me uninstal this program?

Hello darrinmoen,

You Havn't specified, What is the problem exactly. I mean you have not specified the error Description.

But still The problem could arose while uninstalling Antivirus Program would be:

1. Any *.dll file missing from antivirus directory.
2. system file of antivirus missing from System32 directory of windows.
3. Any file that belongs to antivirus are not able to load while installinfg like uninst.exe.
4.Windows installer 3.0 is not installed on ur system
(Check out all the above including reviewing ur antivirus directory for uninst.exe file)

To solve this error you must do the following:
1. Run AVG antivirus setup program to repair. some times it doesnot give you the option if half of installed program have been removed from system.
2. Go to run type "regedit" and press enter
3. go to hkey_local_machine ->SOFTWARE -> and select AVG
expand trees of AVG.
4. Check for data path and its contents in AVG directory of program files, and also For UninstPath to varify that the uninst.exe in avg directory of program files is not missplaced
5. After doing the specified solution 60% are the chances that ur program would be uninstalled. else if it doesnot uninstall the program and gives the same error then Choose system restore tool.

For restoring do the following:
1. Go to Start -> All Programs -> Accessories ->System Tools
and select System Restore
2. Go to next window, Choose the restore point that was before installing of ur AVG Antivirus.
3. Select that restore point by reading the description.
4. Click next to restore.

Note: Your system will restart after choosing the restore point and clicking next. It takes some time to restore.

Most probably this tool will help you to remove this antivirus.

Remove it's entry from registry by Going to run type "regedit" and press enter
go to hkey_local_machine ->SOFTWARE -> andright click AVG
and select delete option to delete.

Gimme acknowledgement after removal
