Re: My A1200 Touch Screen is not Working

Well, I bought two A1200 that have the same problem but I bought them to use as modems. There is one thing that makes me believe that it is the digitizer, the phone works great, you can receive calls, use the camera etc. everything that works with the buttons. So I bought a touch screen in Ebay (about 10$) to get this fixed, if you want to do it by yourself take care, you need to solder the touch screen, this isn't very easy. If you want to go by the more secure solution buy a complete screen with touch screen (about 40$). You can find manuals searching in google.
I hope that info helped something.

The touch pad of HTC Touch responds intermittently.

hi, its a error in the phone, I had this happen to mine. You will most likely have to sent it away for repair. Just reflash the stock ROM and make sure that you have reflashed the stock SPL if you where using hard SPL and you will be ok this site will help you flash: thank you

Motorola Ming A1200

well, let me explain, when dealing with a pda device you have two lay of screen first , the lcd, and then on top the touch screen, if the touchscreen is damage,of course, money wise it better than the lcd,bleeding,etc.. try to see first if you can do a hard reset, data will be lose, then alinged the screen,if not you can buy the part of ebay , there are not that hard to work with just take your time and be careful, using the seller can help you with instructions,if not you maybe want to see if you take it in for repair or finally resale it on ebay, at least you will get some money back.

Motorola 1200

Have you tried calibration? (All menu>setup>screen calibration)
Do you use screen guard? If it is dirty then touch screen may not work.
Sometimes a simple restart may also solve the problem.
