Question about Cub Cadet Garden
I turn on the ignition to start my cub and I have no power to the hour meter. Also it won't start. I put the battery on a charger to full charge with the same result.

Look at all of the safety interlocks: seat must be down, drive must be in neutral, brake must be on, blades must be off, etc.

Sounds to me like you might be having a problem with either your key switch, or more likely your starter. Although I have never had a starter go out on any riding mower Ive ever had, thats really what is sounds like. On the other hand, I have had many a key switch go bad and they act alot like your symptoms. So I would start at the simplest and work backwards.
Also, make sure blades are disengaged and also they are not bound up on the underside of the mower deck. also check the belt and its not in a bind. These thing could be dragging down your motor keeping it from starting. Let me know if I can help further. Have a Great Day! Good Luck!

Testimonial: "This all sounds logical to me and I had already checked to make sure the pto was off and consequentially no belt bind. Kinda leaning toward the key switch more so than starter I'll do some more checking and let you know .thanx for your suggestions."
