Red reset button will not resite on electrical plug to rug doctor

I push red reset botton on electrical plug thenplug it in it pops out ,and will not reset what to do

SOURCE: The switch on my machin will not go on what do i do their or whats wrong with that what do i do to fix it?I plug in the rug doctor then i flip the switch but it wont go on.

bad switch or broken wire in the cord . use a continuity tester to check from the plug to the switch. if the cord is good check the switch itself good luck

Your brand new Rug Doctor could be defective. Go over the set up procedure once more before coming to that conclusion.

Sorry about that . Before you bury it see if there is a reset button you can push to reset it. Most Vacs have reset buttons. Check electrical wires and plugs to make sure they are ok. Is the plug outlet you plug it into working. These are things that you can check. did it die or did you break a belt. Does it try to start but won't.If I could see it it would be easier to know but these are just ideas. Good Luck.

The timer does not have a reset. It is to tell how many hours it has ran for maintenance purposes.

IS IT NORMAL TO VIBRATE LOUDLY WHEN PUSHING RED BUTTON TO RELEASE WATER? I RENTED ONE TODAY. IT PRETTY MUCH IS QUIET TILL I PUSH THE RED BUTTON.


Red button activates the pump, brushes and suction is my guess and pumps can be noisy. You could phone the rental place and ask. As long as it cleans your carpets, all is good.

I have a rug doctor blue machine. It will not spray anymore. Great suction. It is connected properly. Any suggestions?


Only two things can be wrong here, either the solution hose is plugged, kinked or undone from it's source, or the pump motor is not working. I'd try the hose first, if you can, take it off at the pump and then turn the machine on. If you get solution pumping out of the unit, then it's not the little pump motor and your problem is in the hose.
