I am assuming you infer that the bottom of the dishwasher is dry when you took the bottom drawer out. This means the floodswitch located on the power filter board at the bottom of dishwasher might be faulty. Do you get any Fault code on the display.

SOURCE: top draw beeping delay and water not draining

Not sure what you mean by beeping "delay" I am not sure if there is any such light on the dishwasher. The HRS DELAY is displayed on the LCD when dishwasher has been set in delayed start mode. Are you seeing this flashing in an orange background? There could be several reasons for water not draining. Does the beeping go away if you press the power on/off button? Also does the delay flashing stop. Have you checked to see nothing is blocking the drain pump which is the same rotor that drives the washer arms.. What about the kitchen down pipe - is it clear? If you think you have to take the drawers out to reach the drain hose then follow instructions on page 7 step 2 of the installation manual. It is for a later model but your one should be similar. Make sure you turn the mains power off when working inside the dishwasher.

SOURCE: Top Draw on Fisher & Paykel double draw not closing

Make sure that the retaining tabs on either side of the drawer at the lower front are engaged properly. They sometimes don't positively engage and you will feel the difference when the drawer is pushed. Undo the tabs and re-engage them a couple of times to check. The drawer should run smoothly without resistance when they are engaged correctly. Check how the lower drawer moves to compare.

If the drawer is returning smoothly but feels like it's striking resistance towards the rear just before it's fully home, it's likely that the hoses are kinking/fouling behind the drawer and/or that the linkage support is broken.

If you have this older style white plastic linkage rods that hold the hoses, I would strongly recommend replacing it. It's the white plastic rod that has clamps attached to it with all the power, inlet and drainage hoses running through it.

You can get the 'retro fit linkage support' from an authorised F&P parts supplier. This is a retro fit that has specifically been designed to overcome the shortfalls of the original plastic linkage support. This consists of a metal rod and mounting plate with takes over the function of the plastic drainage support.

There are detailed instrucitons with the retro fit support which explains how to fit it. It was well under $100 when I bought one and worth the investment.

Good luck and remember always turn the power off before attempting any repairs.

SOURCE: Hi the top draw of

Hi Vicki.

F2 means that there is a problem with the rotor attached to spray arms on one side, and to impeller pump on the other. The electronic control detects rotation thanks to a hall sensor located at the base of the rotor. If rotation is not regular you get F2.

The problem is usually given by debris stuck in the rotor mechanism, and it is fixed taking apart and reassembling the rotor and arms. The sensor can also be faulty, but this happens quite uncommonly. Usually the problem gets fixed disassembling, cleaning and reassembling rotor and arms.

The video below shows how to disassemble upper part of the rotor. If cleaning that area does not fix the problem, sensor and part underneath must been accessed. At that point the repair will become more complicate and you may require a professional. Try cleaning the rotor, most of the time that is enough to fix the problem.

Regards.

there is water in the base setting off the flood sensor, you will need to remove the bottom draw and dry the water up with a towel (make sure the power is off and unplug it from the power point) then you will need to do a bit of testing to locate the cause of the leak, if your lucky the leak was caused by incorrect dish stacking or something too big in the draw

The source of the problem could be the power filter board at the base of the dishwasher under the bottom drawer. This supplies power to both the drawers as well as operates the actuator motors for the drawer lid seal.
You could replace the power filter board and see if there is any difference. However, the actuator motors need to be very carefully aligned to get the dlid seals to sit properly and not cause leaks. This is a technicians job if you are not very comfortable with mechanical repairs. Make sure mains power cable is taken out when you are working on the dishwasher.

Rinse cycle on top drawer keeps turning on

You have a leak due to the Lid seal leak.
1- Unplug the power, then pull out top draw half way and
2-Touch the bottom top housing ( not bottom top draw) you will feel it wet. Try to dry it by stick in a towel.
3- Repeat the same for the bottom drawer.
After drying out, wait for at least 1 day so the sensor can be dried out then plug in the Power, you will be fine.
4- Contact me for the next step.

Fisher & paykel double dish drawer top draw just beeps...

The controllers get very brittle & can break away from their housing, the reason it's rapidly beaping is because it thinks the door is open. PLEASE TURN IT OFF FIRST AT THE POWER POINT. Take the front draw panel off by pulling the plugs situated on the front behind the draws, the controller is at the top right hand side if it is loose then thats the problem, double sided tape will work but lots of it or try a wedge type arrangement. I know this is an old post but people refer to these for solutions much later.
