Question about Creative Labs Zen MicroPhoto MP3 Player
It had half battery power. I had dropped it, it came on for a second and said that the battery was too low. I tried to charge it on my computer and now it won't come on at all and the computer doesn't recognize it. It is completely dead. The battery is fine, though. A friend opened it up and he said there doesn't seem to be anything knocked loose. I thought I might have messed up the battery connection and the USB connection.
Have you tried pushing the reset button on the lower right bottom of the unit?

Solution ID # 4794 from creative site ZEN Micro and ZEN MicroPhoto 1. Make sure that the battery is charged. 2. Detach the ZEN Micro or MicroPhoto from the PC, and ensure that it is turned off. 3. Remove the battery. 4. Move and hold the Power button to the Power On position and re-insert the battery to the ZEN Micro or MicroPhoto. Hold the Power button until the Recovery Mode appears. The following options will be displayed: -Clean Up : Scans the player and removes invalid links from its music library.Does not affect music files themselves. -Format (All):Caution! Erases all content!Save a copy of your player's content before formatting. -Reload OS/ Firmware : Caution! Erases your player's firmware. DO NOT select the Reload Firmware option unless you have access to a PC and you have downloaded the necessary firmware to install. Reboot Reboots the device.

slide the back off, take out the battery, put it back in while holding the power switch on. THis brings up the Recovery Menu, from where you have various options, formatting being but one.

WTF my sis has the same thing and she thinks i broke it .. =.= i dont know if she still has the software or the plug to the computer ..... i dont know what im supposed to do to fix this retarded problem =.= IT WONT GET OFF THE F**IN SCREENNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =.=

use a different computer my didnt reconize but when i switched to a friends he fixed it all though you lose all your music...
