Check/replace the battery inside the remote. Check the battery of your vehicle. The battery connectors could be loose. untill you unlock the vehicle with the remote it will not start. try resetting it by removing the +ve positive connector from your vehicle battery for a few minutes.

How do I use a wireless shutter release for a ninon p510

You don't. The Coolpix cameras do not have the electrical receptacle necessary to connect a wired or wireless shutter release. If wireless release is important, you need to upgrade to an SLR. You are looking at $500 and more unless you buy used equipment.

ML-L3 Wireless Remote Controller Shutter Release for Camera Nikon D5000

You need to set the release mode to one of the remote modes. The quick-response remote mode fires the shutter when you press the button on the remote. The delayed remote mode gives you two seconds to hide the remote behind your back before firing the shutter.

See the "Release Mode" section of the manual (page 65 in my copy).

I just purchased a SystemPro Wireless Remote Shutter release for my Nikon D200 camera. How do I set the menu program so the camera and the remote "talk" to one another? Thanks for your help

You need to set the camera's shooting mode to one of the remote modes. Quick-response remote mode fires the shutter when you press the button on the remote. Delayed remote mode gives you two seconds to hide the remote behind your back before firing the shutter.

To choose a shooting mode, press the mode dial lock release and turn the mode dial to the desired setting.

Hi, I would like to take a timed exposer, maybe for as long as five minutes......Thanks

In manual exposure mode, set the shutter speed to bulb. This is the next slower shutter speed past thirty seconds. The bulb setting will keep the shutter open as long as you keep the shutter button pressed.

It's easier if you have a remote control. With the ML-L3 wireless remote, you can press the button once to open the shutter and again to close it. Most wired remotes have a lock so you can lock the shutter open until you want to close it.

How do I use the remote? Thanks so much!!!

Assuming you're referring to the ML-L3 wireless remote, simply set the camera's release mode to one of the remote modes. Quick-response remote fires the shutter when you press the button on the remote. Delayed remote waits two seconds to let you hide the remote behind your back before firing the shutter. Full details can be found in the camera manual.

Wireless remote control

Select Release Mode from the Quick Settings display and choose one of the two remote modes. The Quick-response remote mode fires the shutter as soon as you press the button on the remote. The Delayed remote mode gives you two seconds to hide the remote behind your back before firing the shutter.

For full details, look at the "Releasing the Shutter" section in your manual (page 54 in my copy).
