this motherboard is not on asus's list of windows seven supported motherboard, which doesn't mean it doesn't work. use this link to asus's download page: http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us if you are using windows 7 32bit version , use the vista 32bit display driver . if your using the the 64bit win7 version, download and install the vista 64bit drivers.

4GB ram (3.37GBram) usable

Hello Matthew,

Only 64bit operating system can use more than 3.5gb. You have to install either Windows Vista Pro 64bit or Windows 7 64bit to get the extra memory. I know it sounds like waste but your system is operating just fine and will be very fast just as it is. The 64bit operating systems are good but if you use your system for games then don't go to 64bit. There are many things that won't work right on 64bit systems like some printer, scanners, sound cards and even some programs.

I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.

? Hard Drive Support Question...

On the net there are systems usig the EliteGroup (ECS) PT800CE-A with a 300GB HDD (here). If you are running windows xp with SP1 or greater, your technical limitation is 2.2TB (2200GB) due to the addressing limitatons in the 32 bit Opeating system. If you are using Windows XP 64Bit Edition, you have a maximum theoretical size of 144PB (144000TB) though this may not be achievable.

The BIOS may not be able to address quite this much space, and the IDE or SATA controller may have its own Addressing Limitation. The newer your hardware is, the less likely you are to have issues with large sized drivers.
