Question about Televison & Video
I WILL BE WATCHING A PROGRAM THEN SCREEN FLICKERS INTO SOME SORT OF TEST PATTERN THEN TURNS OFF THEN BACK ON AGAIN TO SHOW I WAS WATCHING BUT THEN GOES BACK INTO TEST PATTERN

i had the same problem. i opened the panel in the back of the tv (3 screws) and opened the aluminum panel (3 screws). there's a red led light located at the bottom left corner of the top board. to the right of the led light, you will find this thing with 4 switches. i turned the two bottom switches "burn" and "epmw" to on. so far tv have been working.

Ur power board have dead capacitors.U Know how to solders?Take the tv aparts,check these capacitors in the power board for dead capcitors like puff up or burst open.Replaced these capacitors to get power back.Or buy and replaced the whole reburbish power board at Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com.

you need to remove main ckt, (m.board) some part need to re solder specially in hot area. (lost contact i one of the flickering problem you encountered.

with set unplugged, hold down channel up and down on the front panel at the same time while you plug the set in. Power light will go amber like it is in the off mode and when you hit the power button the set should come up and be normal.
