Question about Mitac DigiWalker C230 GPS Receiver
The maps seem to be missing on my gps, a mio digiwalker c220. The internal memory seems okay, since the gps knows where I'm at, sans roads. I have the miomaps cd, and it just doesn't seem to find the device when plugged in (using 'transmit map's does nothing now). Windows device manager shows the c220 as working properly. I can't find the device in windows mobile devices under the control panel. The software is on an sd card reader in the gps device, and the card has a switch (tried both ways, no labels). I've tried xp home, and vista. I want my maps back.
The maps are on the 1gb sd card in the side of your c220 unit.
If it's missing, get a 1gb sd card and find a computer that will accept sd cards and your cd that came with your gps, then download the maps from the cd to the sd card.
Your c220 only has 4 states on the unit itself.
The c230 has all the maps on the unit but only 1 million POIs versus 3 1/2 million on the c220
