A500 Finepix Adaptor not working

I accidentally reversed polarity on the a/c adaptor on my A500 and now the adaptor does not work, batteries do work. How do I fix it? Reset with batteries out and pressing the power button did not work. Jim C.

Thanks. You mean the capacitor in the adaptor (which I fixed by reversing the adjustable jack so that it now is correctly postive center)? I assumed it was a capacitor in the camera.

My karaoke machine won't work with the adaptor

Try changing your adaptor. The wires in a lot of the cheaper adaptors are small, and often break after too much flexing. You can buy a universal power adaptor quite cheaply, just make sure you set the polarity correct.
If that doesn't fix your problem, there may be an issue with the adaptor socket or the PCB board it mounts to. This will require disassembly to find the issue.

No powerfrom the outlet source

The AC adaptor of my Casio Keyboard has reversed polarity from the Standard Power AV adaptor you get in the market. The center is NEGATIVE. When you try to use a new power supply that is NOT a CASIO original, you may need to reverse the polarity of the plug. Check that.

The power on my banshee is coming on?

Check the polarity of the adapter, if it isn't the original one. Even if you have the right voltage, it still has to have the mA or higher but, most important is the polarity. Most guitar pedals are wired backward on the plug. The positive is on the outside ring of the plug and negative is in the middle. There should be a picture or diagram somewhere on the unit close to the plug to find out. If it is backwards, it could have damaged it, maybe not though. If it is ok, cut the plug off and switch the wires and check it. After all, it's not working now, it couldn't hurt.

I have a Yamaha PSRE413. on/off does not work with adaptor, but works with batteries

If you are using the correct adaptor then the most likely reason is that the socket where the adaptor plugs in has broken away from the circuit board and will need to replaced/resoldered.

if you need a socket Google : Yamaha PSR power socket ( KPA3 / PA130UK / EPA3 ) (LB30226R)

OR if you have used the wrong mains adaptor and the polarity was reversed you may have damaged the diodes / voltage regulator on the power input.

New phone that won't take charge

Check the adaptor , if Ok plug into phone and check the voltage on the battery terminals, if OK then the battery is faulty, This is due to the battery having developed reverse polarity. A quick charge with an external voltage can sometimes get it jump charged. If not replace or claim warranty if the phone is new.
If adaptor is not having the voltage it can be faulty.

I have a Duralast Jump Starter BP-ELG and the power cord got thown away I need to know the voltage, the current and the polartity.

Since you say, it is a 12v DC portable Jump starter, the battery inside it is also a 12V battery. You need a 12V charger (eliminator, wall adaptor or whatever you may call it) Regarding current, it could be anything above 500 mA. Better if it is a 1A or 2A or even 3 A depending on the amount you are willing to spend. Now is the most important part. The polarity. I do not know it since i do not have this equipment. Most chances are that you will find (on the RoadPro) a circle and a dot (along with a +VE and -VE marked near it) around where you plug in the adaptor. For most equipments the outer circle is the -ve and the inner dot is the +ve. (unfortunately this could be reversed in some equipments) If you can find this notation on your RoadPro you are lucky. Just go to any electronic shop and buy an adaptor (12V) that matches this circle and dot notation. The same symbol representing polarity will be marked on the adaptor also. Else, you will need the assistance of someone who can check the continuity using a multimeter. This way you can find the polarity. It is pretty easy. Hope this helps.

Ive lost my adaptor to charge my fujifinepix a500 how much will it cost me for another one

Since the A500 uses Alkaline AA or rechargeable AA sized batteries, you can purchase an aftermarket battery charger for between 8-15 dollars at the local electronics houses.
You can also swap over and use AA alkalines without any issue.
