My tablet randomly shuts off

Depending on what tablet you have, its possible that the power button is sticking causing it to shut down. Often with tablets holding the power down for 10 seconds will cause them to force shut them off. I would check that and if that does not work a factory reset may solve the problem.

Thecharging port on my Toshiba tablet is broken, is there any other way to charge it?

I'm afraid there's no other way. Is there a physical damage on the charging port as evidence that you're saying it's broken? It might be the charging cable itself (hopefully).

Toshiba excite will not charge

It has a non removable battery. :)
It's using a proprietary plug that most probably be defective or faulty. Get another cable for that and see if it works.

Factory reset is the only answer;
  1. Make sure tablet is powered off.
  2. Hold down Volume + button and Power button at same time.
  3. When screen comes on let go of Power button.
  4. When the large Android shows on screen let go of Volume + button.
  5. Use Volume - button to scroll to Wipe Data/ Factory Reset.

IPad shuts down itself

It seems that you've already tried reset (holding the home and power buttons, right?) the iPad and it does not work.

So you may need to connect your iPad to your computer and do a factory restore using iTunes.
