Question about MSI KT4V (MS-6712) Motherboard
I have a MS-6712 1.0 mother board. Belarc says Slot 0 has 256 megabytes installed. What is the limit on this board? How is it different from MS(kt4v) 6712. Can the second be installed to replace the 6 year old board.

MS 6712 is a design compliant number.KT3V, KT4v,KT4AV are all MS 6712 compliant:

Hi, does your board have 2 diferent color RAM slots?
if it does you must install the RAM in the same color slots.
If not then you have the option of buying a 512 stick of RAM and installing that as a quick fix. The other alternative is to have your board tested by a technician.
