Sony KV-32FS100 Needs a Part

Hello TV experts, Im hoping somebody could be kind enough to help me. I recently bought a Sony KV-32FS100 TV, and in transport (ie-trunk of my car) I managed to crack the "A" circuit board (part# A-1300-633-A). I definitely have to replace this board, but brand new it seems to go for $300+!!! (please note that I only paid $200 for the TV!). I already paid $60 for a repair guy to take a look, so now Im $260 in the hole and still can't watch TV. Does anybody know anywhere possible that I could find this circuit board in used condition, for hopefully under $300!! The repair guy I had over said I should be able to find it for about $150. But I have been searching up and down the internet and haven't found it anywhere. I suppose my best bet would be to call places that sell replacement parts for TVs that have been salvaged from damaged TVs, but I have no idea where to locate such places. Please note, to complicate matters, I am located in Montreal, Canada. Please Help! I am slowly dying without TV and can't afford to drop another $300! Maybe someone reading this also has this TV in broken condition and would be willing to sell me this board? :) Thank You! Brian bhamburg69@hotmail.com

Hi, An alternative, you might want to try to find a tech who is willing to stitch (hardwire) the board assuming of course that it is just PCB crack and no major components are defective/gone. Though this is labor intensive, it might be faster or while waiting for the replacement. Good luck.

Hello,
You will need a universal remote, however, the master password is 4357. After the master password, you must create a new password, it cannot be used to unlock currenly blocked channels.

Thanks

Digital tuner?

Good question, Mike. I wondered about my fs210 model, too, and I found the answer at a Sony tech-support site.

1. Go to: http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/select-system.pl?DIRECTOR=DOCS
2. Enter your TV's model number, which, in this case, is: kv-32fs100 (and then click on Continue).
3. At the resulting page, under "Support by Type" in the left margin, click on "News & Alerts."
4. At the next page, click on: 04/02/2008: Critical: Is my Sony® television ready for the Digital TV (DTV) transition?
5. Your TV and mine are analog, but scroll down the page mentioned in #4, above, to see all of your options.

Consumers can determine whether any Sony TV is digital, just by entering the model number and following the steps listed above. ~ Kind regards, Gilda M. (replied 1/23/09)

Sony FD Trinitron Wega model KV-34BR800

Sony Wega Triniton KV-32FS100 TV

For the last week my TV has been going to a black screen for 10 seconds or so then the picture returns. It has been continual. Last night it stopped going to black screen, but now the standby light flashes 5 consecutive times and the color went haywire. A lot of red and everything that is suppose to be black is green.

I did a soft and hard reset with no success. What's wrong and is it worth fixing? Bought new in November 2002.

That would depend upon the number of blinks and the specific model number. I am guessing that the model number is KV-32FS100. What is the blink count?
