Some universal remote controls handle only a couple of basic functions of the device. You may have to try a different universal remote control. All universal remote controls do not contain all possible codes.
You can definitely order a remote through an agent by calling in. To pick one up locally, I would recommend going to a authorized retailer. Use the link below to lookup local retailers in your area! If you have any other questions or need any assistance, just let me know!
check the remote control for any rust on the contact terminals of the dry cells. If present sratch it off and place back the cells and see if it operates.if it does not work you can easily identify the between the tv or the remote what is mulfanctioning by testing the remote for ir radiation, simply by directing the remote to a camera sensor of your mobile phone,if ir light is seen as you press the buttons then the remote is good and if not then the remote is faulty and might need technical expertise to repair.however if you see the ir light ,the problem lies with our set
The remote you mentioned is not compatible between the different receivers. Some remotes can be used with different receivers. You would need a new remote if you are having problems with the other remote. I hope this helps.
Try this method as it is a bit easier than keying in different codes. One thing to consider is that not all TV's are compatible with the remote so if you have changed the TV out you may experience this issue. In order to program the remote to the TV turn the TV on and put the remote in SAT mode by pressing the SAT button in the upper left hand corner of the remote. Now press and hold the TV button Next to the SAT button until all buttons light up across the top of the remote and release. Now press the small red TV button and release. This should result in the top clear TV being lit constantly. Now press the arrow up key slowly until the TV turns off. Once it does press the arrow down key once and then the arrow up key. The TV should turn on. Now press the pound symbol at the botttom right of the remote. The TV button on the top should flash three times. Now you can use the remote to control the TV. If you are unable to get the TV to turn off then the TV is not compatible with the remote. Thanks for using Fix Ya.
OK first and foremost not all tvs are supported by Dish remotes. This is especially true of combo units bbut here is the easiest way to program the remote if the tv is supported:
Press and hold the clear tv button on the top of the remote until all buttons across the top light up.
Now press the smallred tv button and release it.
The top tv button should be lit constantly now.
Now press the arrow up key slowly until the set turns off.
Once it has press the arrow down button once and then the arrow up button to see if tv turns on.
If it does press the pound key and release.
The topmost tv buttton will flash three times.
You are now ready to press the SAT key on the top of the remote and watch tv as usual controllling volume etc with the remote.
If the set turns off but you can not get it to turn back on turn the set on manually and start the process again- it will not go back through the codes you already had tried.
If you notice the tv button flashing rapidly it means you are at the last code and need to go back the other direction or that there is no code for your set.
If the set turns off but will not turn back on then you have a partial code which will not perform properly. Thanks for using Fix Ya.
If you have tried locating your tv type in the back of the manual that came with the receiver and can not locate it then chances are that the remote does not ssupport your TV. You can try finding the code by doing a power scan as follows to see if one not associated with your tv will work: With the TV on press and hold the TV button on the top left of the remote until all buttons light up across the top. Now preess the small red tv button-the topTV button on the left of the remote should stay lit. Now press the channel up button slowly until the tv shuts off. If it does press the channel down button and then the channel up button. The tv should now turn on. If it has press the pound sign and release. The tv button will flash three times. Now try powering the tv on and off. You should be sucessful. Remember to put the remote back into SATmode. Thanks for using Fix Ya. Let me know if you need further assistance.
