SOURCE: how many turns out for the fuel mixture jets for the husqvarna 55

Try tweaking the "L" CCW 1/8 turn, no better 3/16 CW. The "L" is smooth idle and acceleration to speed. The "H" is almost exclusively how it performs at speed.

Carburetor Adjustment by Madsens.com
http://www.madsens1.com/saw%20carb%20tune.htm

  • CW is leaner; to lean will destroy the saw. If over tightened closed (CW) the adjustment screw faces are easily marred; marred adjustments are difficult to impossible to set properly.
  • Clean the air filter; adjusting with a dirty filter can cause a run lean condition once cleaned and the saw run.
  • Clean the spark arrestor and muffler; if the saw cannot exhale it cannot inhale.
  • There are 2 wav (sound - idle & full - may not be highlighted) files that I find most helpful, I think you will too.
Husky if needed start with "H" and "L" at 1.25 form lightly seated, then adjust for performance as above.

Will start then boggs down and dies when u give it gas

Chances are the saw has set awhile with fuel in it. Try replacing the fuel filter first. The carburetor will need to be rebuild due to hardened diaphragms in the carb or the carb will need to be replaced.

There are two pieces that makeup the cap. Be sure you have the tank breather valve PN 531 00 33-47

It appears there's a part change so the new part may not match the picture in the parts list.

This sounds like the carburetor is out of adjustment. I would first advise you to seek warranty related service at the service center the seller dictates to have the carburetor set properly.

Boggs down

depending on how old it is and when it was last used form sitting for a long time some people make the mistake of leaving the fuel in the tank and letting it set for long periods of time. Usually when that is the case the carburetor needs a kit.
