Question about Brother MFC-8440 All-In-One Laser Printer
I filled paper tray and took it out and then in.
stiil saying "no paper" help me out
It is very likely that the error message is referring to "no paper" in the MP Tray (Multi-purpose tray). This is the flip out piece on the front of the printer for envelopes and such. If you open this tray and feed a page through, you should see that this is where your printer is trying to print from. So, why does it try to print from the MP Tray? This is a setting you can adjust before printing in the print window. When the print window comes up, click "properties". Then poke around and you should find a place to change the tray it is printing to. I hope this helps!

Check the paper tray adjustable guides inside the tray; the guides need to fit around the paper snug, when re-inserting the tray if the rear guide is back too far the paper may be shifted towards the front of the tray out of range of the paper sensor so it thinks it's out of paper. I service HP LaserJet printers and most of the time this is the problem. Hope this helps.
