SOURCE: Installing themostat for Whirlpool

Usually there are some screws that are at the area where the dial is. If it is the type I am thinking of it has a long capillary and two areas where the wires plug into. If you take off the wires you can usually follow where the capillary is and intall it. It is pretty self explanitory once you get the screws out. If this doesn't help you, can send me a picture and I can go from there.

No temperature control on hot plate elements. Is this fixable?

ADJUST OVEN FLAME LEVEL: Normally, thermostats are calibrated by pulling the oven's thermostat knob off, turning the knob over and adjusting the calibration ring on the back. If your oven doesn't have a calibration ring you may need to replace the thermostat. The reason for my free advice is GOD is good!

How to calibrate oven?

Sometimes the oven thermostat or oven sensor can be calibrated wrong, or it may be faulty. If your particular range has an oven that uses an electronic thermostat, and the oven temperature is off by tens of degrees, you probably have to replace it.
On most units that have a mechanical thermostat, you can actually remove the thermostat knob, and adjust the knob to more accurately represent the actual setting of the thermostat. On many models, there's a screw on the back of the knob with a small calibration plate or ring. You can loosen this screw and adjust the calibration plate. Remember to tighten the screw again. If yours isn't adjustable, and the temperature is off by a large amount, you should just replace the thermostat.

Or Oven safety valve needs to be checked with multi meter ohms / voltage

Lost measuring cup

follow this test and fix it. God bless you
If the toaster doesn't work at all, make sure power is on at the electrical receptacle and test the power cord.
If the carriage lowers but doesn't latch or latches stiffly, look inside for food debris that may be blocking the carriage. If the latch is damaged or obstructed, service the assembly (see below).
If the bread toasts only on one side, check the heating elements for damage and replace as needed; or replace the toaster.
If the carriage doesn't pop up and the toast burns, check the thermostat calibration and correct any inaccurate calibration (see below).
If the thermostat is faulty, replace the thermostat or the toaster. Check the solenoid switch and solenoid; if faulty, service (see below) or replace.
If the toast is too light or too dark, check thermostat calibration and correct if necessary (see below)

Fryer heats up but does not maintain proper temp. last year replaced hi limit reset & today replaced thermostat

Hi there.
You may need to calibrate the new thermostat and in doing so, you will need a calibrated thermometer with sensor dipped in oil at about one (1) inch above the fryer thermostat sensing bulb.
Record the cut-off temp (when indicator light goes off) and compare it with the thermostat setting.
The thermostat has a calibration screw ( - ) recessed in the middle of the shaft, you will see the when you pull off the thermostat knob. this calibration screw can be turned by a precision screw driver, turn clockwise to decrease the cut-off temperature ; turn counterclockwise to increase the cut-off temperature.
Just make sure that the unit is preheated or have cycled at least 5 to 8 times and the oil is new before performing the calibration.

My Super capacity 465 is not cooking at the right temp. It is about 25 degrees off. is it a thermalstat?

most likely yes... there is a thermostat probe that probley needs to be replaced... however 25 degrees is not to far out... some of these units you can get into the control settings and calibrate... if nobody else has ever worked on unit normally there is some literature in the control area behind the panel that is for the servicer and it should tell you how to get into setup and adjust/calibrate the temperature and offsetr it by 25 degrees... you are just reprogramming unit... if that doesn't help then get a new thermostat... good luck to you ....

Furnace keeps going off. Thermostat and Inducer assembly recently replaced.

Thermostat needs to be level and has to be calibrated. Check filter to make sure it is not plugged - you may need to relace it. If it is not plugged - make sure it is the correct filter for unit. Owners manual should tell you what filter to use.
