Hello again.
The ViewSonic VG1930wm has a height adjustment range of 3.2", TILT capabilities, and a swivel range of 360 degrees.
So yes your monitor should be able to tilt back and forth.  Most likely if you hold the base of the monitor, and press somewhere on the front at the top or bottom (do not press on the screen itself) then it should easily tilt back and forth.  Occassionally there is a switch you may have to hold while you push on the front-top/bottom of the monitor which acts as a lock for the tilt angle.
Hope that helps, and don't forget to vote/rate!

I looked this up in my Dell 1908FBPL instructions which should be similar. On the lower right edge, you should have Brightness & Contrast and Auto Adjust controls. These controls interact so you may have to fiddle back and forth to get it right. First, note whether brightness becreases when you press and hold the down (-) button. Check to see whether Auto Adjust changes anything. Also try turning the monitor off then back on.

I have a new Acer 23" LCD monitor - the desktop icons, my email, my word documents - everything is HUGE - I cannot read anything without going back and forth, up and down and it is impossible to type...

You need to change the monitor resolution setting in your operating system. If you are using Windows then go to Control Panel and look for Display Settings (or something similar depending on the version of Windows). Adjust the Resolution setting (probably using a slidebar on screen) to match the optimum setting of your monitor. If you don't have the monitor instructions try the highest setting first and move down one step at a time until you get a correct resolution on the display.

Unable to get a full picture on Monitor and sometimes it fades out completely. Moving the monitor back and forth seems to change the images

There may be a problem with the data cable... that's the symptom when you move it. Arrange the monitor that suits your computing and move/adjust the data cable until the screen goes perfect, then tie it or plaster it or anything that will keep it steady (I have done this on one of my computers... it's still working) good luck...

Don't forget to rate me... thanks.

Characters in the font have a slight wiggle.

Try adjusting the refresh rate. (i.e. 60hz, 75hz, etc) If that doesn't work, do you have any speakers or magents close to the computer screen? That can sometimes cause the images to move back and forth slightly.

Display problem

A fuzzy display is not likely to by caused by programs on your computer. Is this an LCD flat panel monitor or a regular CRT monitor?? If it's a CRT, the problem could be with the high-voltage power supply, which would need to be diagnosed by an experienced computer1.gif or electronics technician.

Check to see if there is a small focus knob on the back. If so try turning it back and forth three or four times to "clean" it....then adjust for correct focus.

Symptoms like this can also be caused by accumulated dust inside the monitor.

Zenith monitor in an arcade game

Check to see if you can find horizontal and vertical sync controls. These would typically be small knobs or screwdriver adjustments on the edge of a circuit board or at the back of the monitor chassis. Try adjusting the vertical sync....rotate the knob back and forth two or three times to "clean" it...then adjust to see if you can get the picture to settle down.

Aging electrolytic capacitors are the most common cause of symptoms like this. You'll need the assistance of an experienced electronics technician to find the exact source of the problem.

Cant see right side of screen

If your kiddo "tinkered" on the keyboard, then it would look like the screen resolution or refresh rate was changed. The refresh rate is found under the display Advanced ---> Adapter ----> List all modes. Common refresh rates are 60, 72, 75, 85 and so forth, measured in hertz. These values are paired with the screen rssolutions, 800 x 600, 1024 x 768 and so forth. Selecting one of these modes will hopefully get you back to seeing the full display. Some video card driver/utility software has the capability of actually adjusting horizontal position left or right. This adjustment should also be accessed in the display properties. If the kiddo tinkered with the monitor buttons, then you must access the particular adjustment having to do with display horizontal width and horizontal position. One of the buttons gets you into the menu mode, another to the proper adjustment selection, from there two buttons are used to increase or decrease width, or move display left, move display right.

Focus controls are on the back of the flyback transformer. You may have bumped one while the back was off. Due to dangers working on live circuits I recommend you have a service professional adjust the focus.
