Question about HP Pavilion dv6000z Notebook
1.How do I remove battery? The slider doesn't seem to unlock or release the battery.
2. How do I identify which panel to open to remove the original chips and replace with the new chips?
In addition to the slider, you will see a small slider that has a picture of a lock on it. You need to slide it to the unlocked position before trying to release the battery.
As I recall, there are 2 panels on the bottom of the machine. One should have a graphic representation of memory, but every manufacturer seems to use a different picture. Best solution--open one and if that's not it, try another! You can't hurt anything.
