My motorola v3 has a message saying mms setup is incomplete, when someone tries to send me a picture......what does this mean

It means that the settings on your phone are wrong. Each service provider has different MMS settings. Call customer service for your company and they can send the right settings to your phone. Alternatively, try the service provider website, sometimes you can set it up using instructions online.

Unable to send/rec pictures SE W850i

I think the problem here is with your connection. I understand that you have the right settings from your operator...however you should check with them to see if your line is data enabled for MMS (this is how your pictures are an MMS message).

That phone doesnt support mms because its not mms compatible, go onto that website on a computer to access the mms someone has sent you.
You can only recieve texts and text pictures such as :) and :P and pictures drawn with dots and @....

When you receive the message with id and password, it usually means that either your phone is not multimedia messaging compatible or your account is not provisioned with the actual multimedia messaging feature itself.
If unable to send or receive a picture message (MMS), troubleshoot accordingly:
  1. Attempt to connect to MEdia Net on the device. Connectivity to MEdia Net confirms the device has enough signal strength and GPRS availability to send and receive MMS.
  2. Verify MMS is being sent to an AT&T subscriber. If MMS message is being sent to someone other then an AT&T wireless services subscriber, verify that the carrier is supported.
  3. Picture messaging settings are pre-configured on all devices purchased from AT&T. If the settings have been altered or if the device was not purchased from AT&T, validate picture message settings are properly configured.
  4. Attempt to send an MMS again.
  5. If further assistance is required, please contact Customer Care.

If problems occur, please perform the following troubleshooting steps:
  1. Verify device has signal strength.
  2. Check for a GPRS attach on the device.
  3. Verify the browser settings are correct.
  4. Clear the browser cache.
  5. Power cycle the device (turn off and back on).
  6. Attempt to access MEdia Net again.
  7. If unable to access a particular MEdia Net site, check to see if the site is supported by AT&T.
  8. If problem persists, please contact AT&T Customer Service for wireless customers.
