chain is too tight on the bar or is lacking lubrication oil. loosen up the bar nuts and back off the chain tensioning screw a touch. make sure the bar oil reservoir is full and the chain is receiving oil when its running.

Hi,
The problem when that happens is usually a loss of residual magnetism...by flashing the generator you can recharge the permanent magnets, and then the generator will work again.

i have a solution, i have a homelite in my motorhome and for 3 years it is a slowly failing hunk of junk, dump the homelite generators and find a better more quality generator, not a cheepo thats y they fail so much.
